I went here on a rainy Saturday and I was blown away. All my food was hot and seasoned perfectly which i am sensitive to salt and a lot of soul food is over salted most times this food had just enough salt! I ordered the baked chicken plate. The chicken came with gravy over a bed of rice and for sides I got Mac and cheese and cabbage. The cabbage was perfect! I’m very picky with cabbage I do not like it over cooked. Everything was so fresh and hot and the cornbread was delicious too. I also got a piece of sock it to me cake and it was delicious. Please give this small business a try and support local! Prices are reasonable!

This food was amazing!!! I got the stuffed chicken, rice and gravy, collard greens, and sock-it-to-me cake. It also came with cornbread. I can tell this was made in healthy way and she gives large portions. First time trying it and the entire meal was delicious! Highly recommend!

I was in town for NC A&T new student orientation with my daughter and was craving some great soul food and Anna Raes delivered! OMG, the fried chicken tasted so down home and the Mac and Cheese, yams, and cabbage was great. I also had the Sock-It-To Me cake…yum. I left very happy!! It felt like I was eating in my mom’s kitchen. This is my go to spot for soul food when I’m in town visiting my Aggies. Kudos Miss Anna Rae!!!

The owner was extremely impatient and rude. This was our 1st time at this place in person and honestly we should’ve just DoorDashed it to save us the negative customer service experience. We walked in about 30min before closing ,so I’m not sure why it seemed like she was rushing us to order, even though she said it wasn’t an issue. Tapping on the menu to rush us to order…. It took everything in me not to cuss her out, but I have to remember that she is someone’s granny. We left before she could finish our order… won’t be getting my hard earned money with that stank attitude. Perhaps you can change the store hours if you have a problem with customers coming in 30 min before closing.

This is an absolute no for me! I doordash 2 orders they both were incorrect and not appealing to the eye cubesteak was burnt and hard it hurt my back teeth trying to chew it, waste of money you come out better cooking yourself!!

I ordered the baked chicken and smothered chicken, collards, cabbage and Mac and cheese it came with rice and gravy, cornbread and a piece of cake for $14.50. It was definitely a lot of delicious food & the portions are huge. I ordered my kids the barbecue chicken, turkey chili and baked beans and they ate everything. It came with cornbread and cake too. & she even gave them two more slices of cake when we came to pick up the food. She has great customer service. The restaurant is clean. I love it, I found a new soul food restaurant that is worth it. They also sell turkey burger and turkey spaghetti that I would love to try next.
