We got appetizers and desert. It was all delicious. A bit pricey, but everything tasted great. Very friendly staff, and we were seated promptly without a reservation.

Well, I think this was the last time we will be going to The Mantel. We have never really been overwhelmed with the place but have bought Sweet Deals that make the price more reasonable. My wife had the pork chop which was riddled with fat in every single bite. She ate a couple bites and left hungry. If you look at other reviews, this is a common complaint about their pork chop. I had the scallops. They had the consistency of lobster (which they shouldn’t) although they were flavored well. They were the most rubbery scallops I have ever had. The parmesan risotto was spicy but tasteless. The cocktails were fine but not excellent. The place is worth trying once but we have gone 4 times now and will be checking this restaurant off of our list.

From the moment you walk in the door you realize the decor is dark, outdated and worn. Obviously has been updated in many years. That would be okay if the food wasn’t so bad. The green salad was basically chopped romaine and bacon bits. The 14 oz sirloin looked, and tasted, like it was cooked in the microwave and quickly slapped on the grill to add a few light grill marks. Essentially came out gray and tasteless. The side were pretty much the same. Poorly cooked and tasteless. Overall a pretty expensive very mediocre meal. Hard pass on a return visit.

We have been here before. It’s a quiet Bistro during the week, we went Tuesday. We went for our anniversary. The food was spectacular, I had the Scallops and he had the special Snapper. We split the key lime pie, OMG decadent. I really enjoy this Bistro.

When you arrive at a restaurant at 6:45pm on a Friday night and you’re the 2nd table….. Probably not a great sign, but we had wanted to check this place out for years, just never had the opportunity.

What appeared to be the shift manager did not check- in with each patron as expected instead, he chose to monopolize his time with one table and chastise his staff with which were present on shift. Food was over cooked…and cocktails were extremely delayed yet fabulous and right on point. If you are looking for a good night out, or otherwise, I would look to spend the night elsewhere. This was a very underwhelming, if not, disappointing experience.

Decent is the common denominator on the food…stable, no surprises would be the follow-up. The drink pour was a little anemic. The desserts were decadent with portions that I wish the drinks copied. The service and atmosphere were truly stellar. Overall, a reliable place for a higher end dinner that won’t starve the wallet.

Wonderful evening! Food was great. Atmosphere was relaxed. Our server Bobby was attentive. Manager was very friendly. I had the snapper and risotto, my wife had filet and scallops. Bread and dipping sauce was very good. Good portion of creme brulee for dessert. A little pricey but good for the food, atmosphere and location. Definitely coming back.

We had a good experience at The Mantel. We made a reservation online. Unfortunately they have a limited menu at the moment so their menu online is not accurate. The service was good. We shared the brie app, the lobster bisque, which was delicious, got 3 drinks, the diver scallops and the chicken pesto truffle pasta for $130ish. The brie was ok, the toast points were a bit too crouton crisp, they kept falling apart. The bread with their dipping sauce (which was good) wasn’t warm. That’s pretty much my only complaint which really isn’t that big of a deal. The rest was delicious! We will be back!

Wish it had been better, but I’m really disappointed. Ordered the filet mignon as a medium and it’s very close to rare. Wine selection isn’t bad and did a red blend with dinner that was a fair restaurant price. Prosecco at start was lukewarm. Staff was very friendly, but as always I never complain.
