Everything about this place is great!! Had the brisket and pork ribs which were both some of the tastiest I’ve had in a while. The place feels very homey and it probably has to do with the trophies that were donated by a long time customer because his wife made him deconstruct his man cave and the pretty stained glass windows. Sides were all so tasty sounding it was hard to choose but I settled on the cream corn and baked potato casserole both again . Have had other more expensive “big name” BBQ places that didn’t come close to this flavor. Definitely a hidden gem. The staff was all so friendly and welcoming I’ll definitely be making this my regular Dallas area BBQ joint whenever I come to town.

I’m so disappointed in this place. The manager and 2 other employees were behind the counter. The manager explained we were in the to-go lane. Oops. As you can see from the pic, no one was there so it was hard to decipher where to order. I smiled and apologized. The employee that was directly in front of us did not acknowledge us. I politely asked where do we order. He looked at us then continued to ignore us. After 7 min of waiting in silence we left and went to the barbecue place 6 miles away. Oak’d was the place to be. If it wasn’t for back country’s bbq’s bad service then we wouldn’t have found the best bbq place in Dallas.

The place has character. It’s not my favorite decorum. I get it, it’s barbecue, I don’t need all the dead animal heads. On a food note, I came in around 8pm. They welcomed me in as they were locking their doors. It was my first time so I got a two meat plate: ribs & jalapeño cheddar sausage with 2 sides: baked potato casserole and Mac & cheese.

First time customer and loved everything about my experience. I was meeting my good friend for lunch. I was greeted soon as I walked in. They were very friendly and funny. We both had the two meat plate slice beef and sausage and two sides and Texas toast. I took cut my brisket with my fork very tender. The favor was great and the sauce to me makes the meal and it was spot on. The sausage was good to. So glad I picked this place to have lunch . I told the MGR I wanted to get a review because I know how important they are I’m a business owner myself. You want be disappointed with your meal.

The food was pretty good! Although I’ve had better just could use a little more flavor. But Juan’s was great and they have great customer service.

This was just about the WORST food you could ever find anywhere. The chicken was days old. The ham had a green rainbow on it. $35 wasted. Was one of our favorites but never again. The last two times was served left overs. WAY LEFT OVER. It was nasty. But…..the tea was good. Left most of it on the table. Didn’t complain…..had enough. Yuck!

I went inside and it smelled amazing but when I asked to have some ice water for my dog who was forced to stay outside in 100+ degree weather I was told to “get a job” so definitely fire that dog hater and I’ll probably buy some food next time

Back Country BBQ delivered the goods… via GrubHub. The food was delivered on time, and was still warm. The food container was nice.

My wife and I are from Oregon and are traveling across the US. We decided to stop in for some Texas bbq. At first it was a little unclear what we were supposed to do, however after we figured out that we are to order the meat first, then grab our sides ourself, it went smoothly. The food was awesome, filling and fair priced. We both ordered pork ribs and were very satisfied with our order. The ribs were tender and fall off the bone. We were Abel to ratio our own bbq sauce which was nice because I love bbq sauce and wife prefers only a little. The staff were friendly and had conversations with us and overall was a great experience. 100% recommend
