The first thing I noticed was that their deli-style restaurant, with a long counter and a few well-set tables, was immaculate. The next thing I noticed was the lack of any fish smell. I picked up fresh salmon tonight, for my husband and I to attempt cooking it for the first time. The owner’s recommendations on how to grill it were perfect, as was the Cajun spice. Friendly, helpful service from both of them, and great fish! It turned out better than some restaurants I’ve eaten in (and since we had no prior experience grilling fish, I’ll attribute that to the quality of the Scottish salmon). We’ll definitely be back, maybe next time to stay for dinner.

Had dinner there last night with my family. Excellent service and their lobster tail fradiavlo was amazing. The waiter was a kind enthusiastic gentleman probably in his twenties who kept checking on us and making sure everything was alright. Definitely would recommend to anyone who happens to be in the area.

I would normally travel an hour and a half for good seafood. Not anymore! The seafood at Brigantine is extremely fresh and cooked to perfection. Not only was the food excellent, the wait staff was incredibly accommodating to our party of 4. We will definitely be returning and spreading the word about the local gem!

Im sorry I work in a Restaurant and I never left a place so in embarrassed before in my life. My Co Worker and I was out for a birthday dinner and the staff was ok at first. We ordered are food and the Waitress kept coming over and asking was everything ok. Which is there job. But dont come every 2 min. The Waitress came to me and said you are starting at your plate so you must be done. (Which I was not) I was just so annoyed I told her she can take it. So at this time the place only had to other tables so We was just talking and the Birthday girl was finshing off Her wine and My wine cooler I asked for a glass of ice. The Waitress then said was the food ok because the Owner said the gratuity didnt reflect the bill. So at first I was like Im sorry and pulled out my wallet but my co worker told us He left 15% for the tip. The way She said it had me sick to my stomach. I was embarrassed because other People heard her say it. I had no problem leaving extra money or even pay over 20% at times. But to have someone just say that to me was hurtful. My wife and I ordered take out. We heard a lot a good things about this place and I love to give new places a chance. Unfortunately it did not live up to what we heard. We ordered the fried fish tacos and the fish & chips, the only thing I can say was that i was disappointed. The food just lacked something………Taste 🙁

IT’S FIVE STARS BUT IT WON’T POST!!!!We aren’t regulars….anywhere…EXCEPT HERE The food is so fresh…no fishy smells and cover-ups….Soooooo clean, and you can see kitchen, the fish you’ve chosen and rest assured it will be cooked to perfection. Al, owner and chef, and staff check on you to be sure its perfect!!!! always with smiles and genuine concern for their customers. The fish frig in front reminds me of the ocean and you can take out or eat in. Name an oyster, crab or clam and Al knows it like a famiy member. Tonight my husband had a whole bronzini…huge and melted away from bone. My dover sole, was like butter and the price more than fair for the freshness, size and taste. We will be back next week-end and the weekend after. Don’t let the store front look fool you….we eat at the best in NY……this is equal in taste and you can wear sweats if you want….BYOB and ENJOY i

Food was ok. The crab cakes were the only part of visiting this restaurant I could positively remember. On a very negative note, I did find a long hair cooked into my stuffed shrimp. Yuck!
