First time I tried. I got Turkey chops, fries cabbage, yams, and a side of Mac n cheese. Overall the food was really good. Seasoned well and not overly salty. My only complaint would be the Mac n cheese was dry but I believe it was at the end of it and they were closing soon. But it had good flavor and I still ate them! The service was excellent! Will try again❤️

This spot has potential but the food is entirely too salty. Couldn’t eat the greens, greenbeans or oxtails because of the salt. That was really disappointing considering the cost. Lots of wasted food.

I must say this place is very tasty the guy behind the register had a big personality it almost felt like you were in your uncles or cousins kitchen so there’s a familiarity there and the food was tasty the food was highly seasoned the food was exactly what you expect soul food to be the one caveat that I did not like was the cornbread it tasted good but it was extremely dry and the Kool-Aid I get the Kool-Aid is synonymous with soul food but can we add more water so that is not as sweet other than that they play good music it was a good vibe this place is enjoyable

I had a great experience here today! First of all, the parking was free. Plenty of seating inside. The owner is so welcoming and nice! We wanted the burger with the lobster tail on it. He said he ran out but if we wanted it bad enough he would go get more lobster to make it for us! While we waited we had the jambalaya fries which were amazing and another employee gave us free peach cobbler! So we had plenty of food to eat in the meantime. The burger was AMAZING and worth the wait! I enjoyed my visit here and will definitely be returning and telling my friends!

Tried this place for the first time today. I ordered the blackened catfish, Mac and cheese, and collard greens. There was about a 20 min wait which wasn’t bad for fresh food. Pros: food was seasoned well but a bit too salty. Cons: for $25 I got one tiny piece of catfish. I was so surprised at the portion that I asked about it and was told that the fried catfish is always two large pieces, but the blackened is one smaller piece and if I said it was my first visit, he would have explained that. In the end, I was still hungry after I finished my meal. The meals are not all worth the money. Ask about portions before you order!

I stop by this place on my lunch break I’ve been so sick of bad food and bad customer service. When I say, I am so happy that I found this place I have seen it on Instagram before in the past, but never had time to to stop by. I just so happen to look up food near me and it was literally right down the street hands down the best food I’ve had in a long time if I’m not by my mom’s house deeper in la it’s hard to get good food for us by us ! The service was excellent. Everybody was so nice and so welcoming I really love my people The owner even stopped to talk to me for a little bit, which was really nice and even said he was happy that I came by to try the food. I went on a Thursday evening service was super fast. My food took little to no time to make, and I came a hour before closing & the food was so freshhh. Hands down fire ! I can’t wait to come back cause service and food on 10000 ! thank so much for making great food and giving amazing service!! All the staff was amazing they deserve their flowers Fs!

Taste: 9.7/10. Everything was perfectly seasoned. Honestly, the best mac n cheese, candy yams, and shrimp n grits I’ve had out here since moving here. It reminded me of that good ol Atlanta soul food that I’ve missed so much! Definitely will be going back to try out more of the menu!

Great location. Nice ambiance. Ordered Fried Catfish, Yams, Greens, Mac just to try some of my soul food favs. Nice flavor on the food but all was too salty for me. The yams were seasoned very nicely and not too sweet. I will return to try other items. My only suggestion would be to go low-sodium for healthy eating. ❤
