1st time trying Uncle John’s & they did not disappoint. The service was good, there was a 30mins wait when we registered (don’t think we waited that long). The have a small parking lot in the back of the restaurant & street parking.The servers were super nice. They have outdoor & indoor seating(if you have bad allergies don’t sit outside, there are plenty of trees & pollen) but the weather was so good to sit inside. The food was good, even had some leftovers. Get the mimosas, so refreshing & delicious (I liked the one with passion fruit). Definitely recommend this place for breakfast or brunch.

Came for a brunch meal. Server was amicable and quick to take the order. The ambiance was decent, some outdated decor but seems to fit with the era. Ordered chilaquiles without eggs – the spicy red sauce is quite hot, the chorizo is great, and most importantly the chips were crispy.

can’t believe we’ve lived in the neighborhood for 2 years but never got chance to visit this place. It’s awesome, the environment is nice and clean, they have the open kitchen so every thing is under your view, very efficient operation, only 10mins waiting for the food. Big portion and delicious. No wonder it got high review!

This was my first time at the Alameda location. I have been to their Winchester location and loved it. Similarly, the Alameda didn’t fail me. Their pancakes are the best in San Jose I would say. So soft and fluffy! We got the short stack of buttermilk pancakes with chunky monkey topping. Yumm! We also had the egg white veggie skillet and that was sooo good too, especially the salsa that came with it elevated the dish. Service was polite & quick, nothing to complain about. Ambience is somewhere between an upscale and a regular diner. The place gets very crowded and noisy for weekend brunch. Do not forget to join the waitlist on Yelp before heading there. Overall, I would love to come back to uncle John’s for their food as it cannot go wrong.

Good food and the hash browns are pretty good! I got the southwest omelette and that was really good. My only complaint is that I wish they would put if the refried beans and rice are vegetarian on the menu. It was a really busy morning that time we went and I wanted to try the chilaquiles but I didn’t know if they were vegetarian or not!
