1st timer at J&J. I didn’t get the guys name but he was personable, very welcoming and kind. He made suggestions and said the baked potatoes come fully loaded with all the fixins! I chose the brisket. We spoke and I explained there are NO loaded potatoes in Forney and if we want one we always have to make a trip to The Grove. Iykyk. Come to find out we were both from PG. I love the fact that I have a little bit of home near me. The baked potato was FULLY LOADED all the way!!! It filled the to go box all the way. I had brisket, but you could taste the green onion, butter, sour cream, crispy bacon bits, and BBQ sauce was and of course it was cheesy. Man o man!! You got a customer for life. You can taste the love in the food 100%. 10/10. #fingerlickingood #Forkdrop #homegrown

Best BBQ in town, delicious smoked goodness! Brisket is flavorful and melts in your mouth. If you’re real hungry get those potatoes. Highly recommended!

My husband said 4.5 stars because they were out of 2 things he really wanted, by he got the 2 meat plate with sausage and brisket. He said brisket was really good, sausage was ok. He also got mac and cheese and baked beans and like both. He was bummed they were out of Texas Twinkies, though. Will try again.

My family and are from Chicago and haven’t had any good bbq in Texas until we tasted his bbq. The brisket and ribs are so tender and he knows how to ensure the macaroni and cheese never disappoints.

Best BBQ in Forney! The potato’s m loaded with brisket is the best. Ribs are tender and falls off the bones. All the sides are homemade and delicious. I also tried the lambchops which were tender with a lot of flavor! No complaints at all!

There are a lot of BBQ places in Texas…”But”…this right here, is one of the best! I had the pleasure of J&J BBQ catering my birthday celebration dinner. Needless to say, I was not disappointed. Everything was even more than I could have ever imagined. Ribs falling off the bone, brisket so tender, you don’t need teeth to eat it. My only wish is that I hope you get a truck in Texoma territory. Planning on making a road trip to Forney Texas soon for more of your delectable BBQ cuisine.

Got the Mac n cheese and I don’t want to be disrespectful but this Mac n cheese was very disrespectful to me. It was offensive and made my friend cry. I don’t like it. The after taste was awful. I gagged. I don’t know if it was a bad batch or if it’s the actual recipe but it was no good. Made me really mad and sad.
