It was a busy Friday night, so I can cut them some slack on service. The food was really good. My friend and I had the baby back BBQ ribs with a baked potato and coleslaw . Two other friends had the catfish and the walleye. We were all very pleased with our meals.

We flew in for lunch. Told to seat ourselves, which we did. Plenty room at that time. Place did fill up with local patrons a bit later. Friend had the Elephant Ear pork tenderloin sandwich. He said it was excellent. He had to cut away and eat some of the meat as, being an elephant ear, was WAY beyond the size of the bun! I had a grilled chicken sandwich. Prices were more than reasonable, esp for size and amount of each serving. As it got busier, service decreased. Had to go up to cashier counter to get bill after being told she would bring it to us. Not a problem. We would return!

This is a popular place that relies solely on word of mouth to bring in customers. I tried their famous Elephant Ear Tenderloin and I found it to be very tasty and reasonably priced. It goes great with either mustard or pickle. Onion rings were good but that tenderloin really filled me up so I could not finish. Heard a lot of people raving about the pie. Didn’t have room in my belly for any. Will try some next time.

Super fun, friendly staff who always provide the best service! Love their B&G and hasbrowns (get them smothered in their homemade gravy!) If you’re a fried mushroom or country fried steak fanatic, you won’t be disappointed! I don’t know how they make them, but they’re the bomb BEST little mom and pop spot in Coles County!

Great fish! Good service. Great to regulars. I went during a bit of a lunch rush, but was seated quickly. Just a little loud from conversation, but not much you can do about that.

I waited over an hour for the fish that I ordered that was on special. Numerous other tables ordered the same thing and received there food before I did. Oh hole table waited over 90 minutes for our food and never once was offered a refill on our drinks with out asking. This place is worse than president Biden and doesn’t even deserve to be in business. What a worthless waste of electricity it is for this place it is for the airport restaurant to be open !

Ordered over medium eggs and they came out with runny whites. Instead of making new eggs they just threw the originals on the grill so then I got scrambled hard eggs. By the Time I got my food, the potatoes were Completely cold. Also asked for catsup and it was never brought to the table. Worst experience I’ve had in a while. Don’t think I’ll be back.

Cool location being in a small airport however the pork tenderloin sandwich was very dry and paper thin. The small house salad was nothing more than shredded lettuce.
