Great local place for some great food. We were very excited to try it for the first time. I got the lunch special. Salmon Power Bowl with rice, avocado, arugula, an egg and sweet potatoes. It was one of the best tasting protein bowls I’ve ever had. Wish this would be a full time menu item! Wife had the Gnocchi pasta. It was also fantastic. Kirk is a great server and provides excellent service.

Author’s is so cute and cozy! I absolutely love the decor and environment. The food is amazing! The bread pudding was absolutely delicious (not pictured) The empanadas are so good, the pastry is perfectly flaky and delicious. We got a lot of different things at lunch and everything was so good. Highly recommend!

Updated review – still love Author’s but feel like they have the same empanada flavors every single time I go there. They used to also offer 2 rotating varieties and now it’s only 1. Every time I go there it’s mushroom & Swiss. They used to have more inventive flavors such as a curry one & a breakfast one. And a short rib one. Wish there was more variety

What a delightful way to enter the first day of fall! The ambiance was warm and inviting (and the interior looks fantastic!). The (Not So) Old Fashioned was a great sipper and today’s featured soup was a cheesy broccoli/cauliflower soup that was the best way to enter a new season! Definitely look forward to coming here again!
