They catered a function for a tribute to my late mom this past weekend. The food was beyond excellent, and the customer service was exemplary. Every last one of my guests could not stop talking about how great the food was. The owner is one of the most professional people I’ve ever dealt with and the delivery service was great! They came a long distance to deliver and the food was still hot and totally fresh. The BEST restaurant in Michigan City, Indiana. The prices are amazing too! Thanks Janika!! You guys are awesome!!

Wow this place is amazing!! I was in town visiting family and went here for lunch. I had the chicken tips and chicken wings and my husband had a deliciously huge burger!!! The food was so good with generous portions. You can’t beat the prices either. The service was great. Our server was friendly and on top of everything. The restaurant is the perfect size. It’s. It’s not too big where you feel anxious and overwhelmed. It was perfect. Music playing, patrons sitting at the bar. It felt like home. Familiar and friendly. “Where everybody knows your name” I’ll definitely be back next time I am in town!!!

The service was great. The food was OK. I ordered a half slab of ribs. They looked delicious and the portion was huge, but unfortunately I couldn’t eat them. They were so tough. But our server Jasalyn was very sweet about me sending them back and bringing me something different. If like spicy food this is the place for you.

This is the best BBQ…The rib tips, chicken tips and fried chicken are…slap your ma’ma good! Spaghetti and greenbeans are seasoned to perfection. I LOVE THIS PLACE! The staff are so nice and very helpful. I would give them 10 stars if I could. My husband used to get me food from here when they were at the other address, so glad they are even closer now.

Tip…. The doors close 15 min early so get there way before that. Nice sized portions and really great prices. The pork was delicious and moist. The sides were very tasty. I would definitely consider this a hidden gem.

Friendly service, reasonable prices, but I thought the BBQ sauce was pretty tangy and the rib tips weren’t very tender. They also didn’t have brisket or many of the sides available for lunch when I ordered.

I rate Up N Smoke between a three and four. The pulled pork sandwich was tasty and my favorite of the order. The wings were alright but was hoping for a smoked or grilled but we’re fried. The ribs are spare ribs that are a bit tough by nature, they had good flavor and cooked well; I probably won’t get those ribs again. their sauce was tasty and seemed to have some red hot’s sauce in it. The shack is small and best to call in ahead of stopping in unless you have 10-20 minutes to chill in your car. There are a couple picnic tables outside. The workers were nice and courteous.
