Great atmosphere, great wait staff. The $18 chicken fried steak I could barely cut it was so tough with no seasoning. The mashed potatoes and green beans were good. The catfish was good.

The amount of food you get does not equal the price. We split a plate thinking it would be enough since it was priced so high but we were way off on that. We had a little bit of a hard time getting a server to come see us too. It’s a great atmosphere but a few little things are missing.

This is such a beautiful remodeled historic building so the owners should have put equal attention into hiring an excellent chef to serve excellent food for the people of the community. These other reviews must be written by friends and family because they are not being honest about the food at all. This is some of the lowest quality, unimpressive, tasteless, greasy, dry, skimpy servings of cheap Cisco food barely warmed and served “elegantly” on paper plates and tin pans and aluminum foil with some bizarre squirts of “secret sauce” to make it look fancy (at least they are offering real silverware now instead of the plastic). The hamburgers were like dried out little frisbees with huge dried out buns (charged $1.50 for a slice of cheese and $0.65 for a little ranch to make their hamburger even edible) , boudin rolls were completely unidentifiable and just plain weird, the brussels sprouts- absolutely the most AWFUL ever- completely over-cooked until squishy and brown topped with some totally curdly brown gross sauce on top and the “bam bam” shrimp appropriately named to knock you out…. with some weird mayonnaise-chili goop dumped on a bed of cold microwaved rice. And… you leave with a nice fat bill on top of it all 🙂 If the food was as good as the menu describes it… well you might have a winner…. but it fails miserably. We have given this place multiple chances to get better over the year…. they just can’t. Better drive to another town if you are hungry.

I have been going here regularly since the first week they opened in 2021. The food is great and the staff is friendly. If there’s ever been a problem, they’ve fixed it promptly. One of me & my children’s favorite places to eat in town!
