I don’t make it out to Long Island all that often, except when I’m passing through en route to Fire Island, or if I’m visiting a friend’s family. A few of us stumbled across Green Leaf on our way to see a buddy’s parents near Port Washington. (Well, we found it on the Yelp app and went a little out of our way, because we were craving some yummy Chinese food). It was worth it.

NO EVEN FOR DELIVERY…They say they offer Japanese and Chinese food. The Internet menus (available in different sites) offers other Asian food as Viet Summer Rolls. These menus apparently are wrong, we ordered the Viet Summer Rolls and got Salmon Rolls. The Japanese rolls and sushi are very poor, as a cheap supermarket grade sushi. They speak very poor English (or they just don’t care) either way, they disrespected us when showed them that they made a mistake. Two times in a row we got the wrong order, I start thinking they really want to sell returned orders from other mistakes. When they told us that the menu in Internet was wrong, they didn’t care where or how, we even offered to send them a copy, but they showed no interest, or intention of fixing it. If you still want to deal with this marginal “environment”, make sure you check your order before paying. And yell them if needed since it is the only language they appear to understand.

Not one thing was average. Sushi was barely edible. Not even close to fresh, might have honestly been over a week old. They served pad thai with a severely dried out lime. The noodles were old and obviously sitting for a while. I don’t mind eating subpar food but at least serve food that can be eaten without triggering gag reflex.

If you’re looking for some deliciously cooked chicken, then look no further than Green Leaf. They might be a bit expensive for a run-of-the-mill asian place, but let me tell you, they really know how to steam their chicken well. Highly recommended.

Greenleaf is TERRIBLE.. the people on the phone are literally so rude WHEN they pick up… It is said to open at 12 pm.. But I Called at 1:30 and they didn’t pick up.. And I called about 7 times… When I ordered a little food once the total was $85 dollars and when I tried to tell them to cancel the order, they said they couldn’t because they already charged the credit card… Do not deal with this place … It’s so annoying
