Listen to “I Love This Bar” by Toby Keith. This is that kind of bar. It’s a spot for locals but welcomes anyone who wants to drop by for a visit. You can shoot some pool, throw some darts or if your lucky catch one of their unique events and enjoy rural central Florida culture.

I’ve visited before, but figured it give it a second go just to get a better feel for the place. Hitching Post definitely has a very specific clientele, while also taking advantage of being a within the greater Orlando area. The prices and service are what I’d expect from somewhere in downtown Orlando, but this location is far away enough that I assumed it would’ve been the opposite. I made a poor assumption.

Always wondered what this place was like inside. I was pleasantly surprised. Fully stocked bar. Friendly bartenders. They have a touchtunes so you can play whatever music you want. There is a pool table and ample seating. Prices are good. My only complaint is that they feel like they need to plaster the ceiling with political messages which is weird.

My husband and I were at a campsite at lake mills Park for a week, stopped in the first day grabbed a bite to eat and a few beers. Service was RUDE! Like us being there was just unwelcoming. Tried it again spend $80 this time the bartender Kara was great. Stopped in again.. The bartender screamed at us for going the wrong was in to sit. The people that go there are mostly locals, if you aren’t one is like your money has no value there. We will never go there again.

This place is truly something special. The food is absolutely delicious, the onion rings, the pulled pork, the CHICKEN FINGERS!!!!! I never thought chicken fingers could be otherworldly but I have been proven very wrong. Some of the best food and service I have ever experienced. RUN don’t walk to the hitching post for all your lunch and dinner needs.
