One of the best restaurants I’ve visited in a while. The food and atmosphere remind me a little of Cypress Social… laid-back, great service, and the food is all comfort food but taken to a higher level. The bacon burger was fantastic and my wife loved the shrimp tacos. We also got the Bennett’s Trio and loved the guacamole, cheese dip, and salsa that came with it.

Visited for the first time tonight and was not disappointed. Loved the atmosphere of this upscale casual restaurant. Our waitress, Vivian, was prompt and kind, and from what we could see that seemed to be the case for all the waitstaff. The food arrived very quickly and presented well. Hubs had the pot roast and I had bacon-wrapped meatloaf. Both were AMAZING. The potatoes served with the pot roast were like crispy fried dollops of mashed potatoes, and were so good I ordered some as a side. We were too full for dessert (tonight’s offerings were strawberry cake and I believe coconut pie). The manager checked in on us during our meal and told us about their weekend brunch. Everything was absolutely top notch and we can’t wait to return. I think we’ll try brunch and the $60 dinner-for-two next. Kudos to Bennett’s for bringing such a great establishment to Sherwood!

Cozy spot that served good tacos and wings but the star was the shrimp and grits. All around good food and a quite pleasant spot to find! Plenty of parking and it was busy even at 7 p.m. so you know it’s good.

Good food, atmosphere, and service. They do not serve alcohol, so keep that in mind if your wanting a drink with brunch or dinner. They serve upscale American food without the $$$ markup. I always leave feeling full. I don’t love this place, but I do like it and think it’s awesome that Sherwood has an establishment like this.

I just finished the Strawberry Pecan salad. I added chicken to my salad and they made sure I didn’t have too much chicken to be able to finish it. Lol. Also, it was supposed to come with a strawberry vinaigrette, it did not. I’m not sure what it was, possibly a Dijon mustard dressing. Minus these two things the salad was excellent and as it was takeout or was ready when I arrived. I would have given five stars but, I feel like they will make up for it the next time. Stay tuned…..

Visited one Sat evening around 630PM and almost every table was full. We were told its a 20 min wait but only waited 10. Our waitress greeted us and took our drink order. When she came back with the sweet teas and jalapeño cornbread, she also went over the daily special. Lobster and steak. We ordered the app Philly cheesesteak egg rolls. They came quickly and looked well done. My husband ordered the bone-in pork chop and I ordered the alfredo pasta with chicken & shrimp.

Bennett’s was fantastic! We decided to go for my birthday with family. We did call ahead and make reservations as we knew the place was small and wanted to ensure we had a spot for all ten of us. They were able to accommodate us without any problem.

My husband and I made a door dash order, and they failed to give the dasher all of our food. I tried calling back three times to see what happened to it, only for them to never answer the phone. We finally drove all the way to the restaurant to let them know we never got it, only to find they never handed it off in the first place. While standing in line to receive my order, we called the restaurant phone to see if it wasn’t working or not. Turns out it worked fine, the waitresses kept ignoring it. I finally asked the waitress standing next to the phone if the phone worked, and she said “oh yeah we’re just busy”….but then proceeds to pick up 3 calls back to back after I called her out. When I brought it up to the manager he gave excuse after excuse and accused me of “not having a heart.” I work in the food industry myself. It doesn’t take 2 seconds to tell someone to hold for a bit while you catch up. I’d handle that a lot better than being totally ignored while I’m trying to figure out why my order was completely messed up, and then be blatantly scolded for calling it out. Do better.

Love the atmosphere here. Very relaxed and spacious. The cheese curds were very flavorful; more like fried mozzarella than expected, but tasty. Blackened salmon with grits was a nice twist. Will be back again soon.

We went for the first time and had the Valentine’s special. Everything was really good, fast service, and friendly staff. I was a little disappointed in the Grilled Portabella, it was overcooked.
