A casual and historic restaurant in a rural setting. I’ve never had a bad meal here. The burgers are wonderful. My personal favorite is the perch sandwich. Very reasonable prices. There’s plenty of seating. Well worth the trip off of the beaten path. The building is very old, so the A/C can struggle to keep up in extreme heat. They also have great pizza and mozzarella sticks.

I used to love this restaurant. I was visiting family and wanted to bring my toddler. We showed up at 11 when they open and there was only one other table. We ordered right away and didn’t get our food for an hour ( which is difficult when you are trying to entertain a 2 year old). The food was not the same quality I remember but wasn’t bad for the price. We won’t be back due to the kitchen wait time ( it wasn’t the waitresses fault ).

A very friendly, family oriented resturant & bar. HAD to have the signature FATHEAD BURGER, 2 PLEASE! Cooked to perfection with all the fixings & fries, more than enough for me & Mrs. Turtle. This is quite an unassuming establishment in an off the beaten path town, Republic, is smack dab in the middle of nowhere. Having said that this place is well worth a return trip. Highly recommended for the food, service, atmosphere and price! Y’all must try FAT HEADS out.

Walked in at 6pm, got seated at 7pm, still no meal by 8pm but people that came in 25 minutes after we did, had their meals. Asked our server how much longer, after we waited 55 minutes, and she said “they’re working on it and it will be right up”. We walked out 15 minutes later…poor service, terrible waitress…never again…

Cool mom and pop venue. Food is great. Service is slow. Your in the middle of nowhere hang out. Prices were very good. Options a plenty. Mainly a pizza place but sandwiches and other options available as well as Gluten free cauliflower crust pizza. I got a blue cheese burger a+,$9 served with fresh cut fries. $1.50 12oz amber bocks. Give this a try go out of your way to get there and get back to roots of classic American dining.
