I enjoy the warm and friendly atmosphere that Shad and Amber have created. The first day I met Shad, he shared with me about the mission (and testimonies) behind Coffeehouse and all the effort that goes into building the Teens for Christ ministry. Evidently, this is not the regular coffee house we’re used to. So much of the work here is geared towards creating a vibrant space to commune and learn with others, and to revive our hearts for the things of God. If you’re ever in town, I hope you stop by–the owners would make you feel at home, and you can never go wrong with their hot chocolate!

This is a beautiful old house being changed room by room into a wonderful community gathering spot that has appeal to many ages. The teens and I played a game, while several other people were visiting in an adjoining room. Has such a nice homey feeling. Relax and enjoy a cup of Java! Or tea.

First time there.. And felt welcomed. He made my caramel macchiato perfect . Not too sweet.. Just right. Being diabetic that’s not a good thing. Couldn’t resist the turnover. Looked and smelled amazing. Will definitely come in again to try something else. ❤️

Highly recommend Common Ground Coffeehouse! Their well-crafted coffee drinks and homemade treats are the best in town! My favorite food items so far are the big breakfast sandwiches and the fresh-baked pie on Friday and Saturday! The new owners’ attention to detail and their hospitality is just wonderful. 🙂

Even if you don’t like coffee, this is a wonderful place to go to grab some delicious baked goods and a drink. They offer bottled sodas, water, and sports drinks in addition to their coffee drinks. The atmosphere is wonderful, and appropriate for all ages. The staff is very kind and considerate. Since Jitters closed down for a while and this coffee shop opened, this has by far been my favorite place to visit (and I don’t even like coffee).

Great coffee! They have homemade whipped cream! My only issue was once the barista forgot to put the expresso in my drink, so I left with foamed, flavored half and half, but didn’t realize it until I had left. I told the owner the next time I went there and her only response was, ‘huh!’ She didn’t do anything to make it right; however, I didn’t ask her to.

Our first visit and we will definitely be back. Conner’s signature drink (a sparkling strawberry lavender lemonade of some kind) was very good. Delicious concoction and can’t remember what they named it, but I recommend it

The coffeehouse generally isn’t too busy, so you can enjoy some quiet to catch up with friends or study in a great, well-decorated, historic atmosphere. The coffee is cheaper than normal for this kind of place. Probably one of the best coffees I’ve had outside New York. A great bean and barista is a hard combination to find in the Midwest. So come here for a coffee then visit the museum and then go somewhere for lunch. Also I don’t use plastic so it was great to have a choice.
