I visited this establishment for my birthday & I must say I really enjoyed myself. I did bottle service & we were seated in the patio area which was spacious & really nice. They had food trucks on the premises (food was great) & our waitress was really nice & professional. I also had the pleasure to meet one of the owners Clyde. He greeted us & asked us about our experience which was nothing less than AMAZING!!! We had to park a little far but other than that I had a good time.

It’s definitely a vibe on Sunday, with the music, hookahs, and drinks!! Oh, let’s not forget the best seafood truck in Charlotte is parked 33rd and Main…do you see this Seafood Eggroll?? Don’t play…this eggroll is LIFE!!

I up here with a small group of friends after enjoying dinner for a friend’s birthday. Despite it being a Saturday night, we were able to walk right in with no wait. A few people immediately went to the bar and ordered drinks and walked around. Some of us stayed behind to secure seating. After a few minutes, we were able to find a table. Our server was attentive throughout our stay.

This place is outstanding! The wife and I came for 33 & Main and found 1501 S. Mint. A beautiful black owned outdoor lounge and bar. Also Perry’s food truck was there with “Fresh Grilled Delicious Foodie Favorites and Diet Friendly” food.

1501 can be hit or miss. It can get overcrowded, to the point of annoyance. Due to the al fresco nature of the venue, it gets really hot/humid during the warmer months. Last time I was here with a friend, we stood under a large fan/AC unit, lol. This was after 11PM. The bartenders can be a little slow. I don’t think the lounge itself serves food, but there is often a food truck onsite.

The vibe is cool, but I wasn’t feeling the music at all, and neither were the people I was with. There is no variety. It’s just straight rap ALL night. The majority was down South Rap. No R&B, no afrobeats… nothing. For the most part, it’s an older crowd, which is cool, I just wish they had more variety when it comes to the music.

We went in the evening for the food truck recommendations. If there was more lighting we would have enjoyed sitting outside. Just too dark for us. Food was ok and we see room for improvement.

I’ve been here countless times with a variety of friends. Unfortunately my most recent time was the least favorable. It was a party of 5 females and they refused to seat us unless we purchased a bottle. However ABSOLUTELY NO ONE in the area had a bottle.

I was actually doing security at this establishment! Doing the Ashanti concert! But it was our love! The promoters, the waitresses, us security personnel… We all did a great job…
