Diner style 100% and it’s charming. I was amazed that the place has been around since 1979. I enjoyed the Swedish Meatball lunch, and a side of the corned beef hash. Friends had the Chicken Cordon Blue sandwich on the homemade Kaiser. A delightful experience. Great staff and wonderful service. Easy to find. Thanks for the delicious lunch

Small, quaint, folksy diner with decent food quality and portions. You kinda expect the waitstaff to be named Alice or Flo – with an old-school vibe. We enjoyed a later breakfast, including bacon, eggs, pancakes, hash browns, English muffins, and a Philly Omelette. Only enough seating for 40 people, so it might get crowded during peak meal hours.

Update:::: Stopped tonight on business trip. Have brought guests in AM in past. Unfortunately tonight they lost loyal customer and reference…. I arrived at 6:35 PM. Door said open until 7. Open sign was on. Lady answered door says grill closed, shut door and flipped off light with zero friendliness. Good food as I’ve mentioned before, but this experience causes me to say zero returns from this guy on horizon. Having great dinner down road as we speak!—————

Really a unique experience, this brought back memories of a few diners around Oshkosh, when I was a kid. Half of the space is dining counter/kitchen and the other half dining tables and restrooms. They have Special Boards, one for breakfast the other for lunch, then a third showing the dessert specials (homemade by Grandma). Our friend, who suggested the Rainbow Cafe, ordered the chopped sirloin and gravy with a choice of potato and vegetable, she really loves this dish. My wife had the fish fry, with potato pancake and choice of vegetable, she was impressed with the quality and taste of the fish. I ordered the pork chop dinner, 2 boneless pork chops, cooked perfectly, juicy and tender, choice of potato and choice of vegetable. Our friend and my wife took a piece of homemade raspberry pie and I took a piece of the homemade lemon cake. I was very impressed with the fact the mastalgia, but the waitress has been around for quite a while and customers appreciate the extra care they receive. The dining tables do get filled during the lunch hour, but the counter always seemed to have seats. We definitely will be coming back.
