We had another amazing experience at Joe’s Stone Crab. We’ve been to this location twice, the Las Vegas location once, and we plan on visiting the Chicago location in the fall. This is the best seafood restaurant in the Washington DC area, in our opinion. The restaurant is beautiful, the food was excellent, loved the stone crabs, and tonight, especially, the service was fantastic. Our server Jose was outstanding. We couldn’t recommend this restaurant highly enough. It’s a special place to dine.

I am a huge fan of history. This place had the feel of several different eras. From colonial to the roaring 20’s to the Godfather, right down to there being a functional elevator and classy bathrooms. just loved the feel of it. The food was amazing. I am always jealous because my husband chooses the most flavorful fish dishes, and he does it again here. While it is on the expensive side, I feel it is well worth it. I cannot wait to return.

Stone crab is what Joe’s is famous for and for great reason, quite yummy, but steak and everything else was over the top excellent. Best of all the wait staff were perfect. The place is usually packed so dinner reservations are must have but the bar is walk-in, first available and worth it for a drink before or after. Beautiful restaurant, great food and outstanding service makes Joe’s Seafood in D.C. a home run in my book. Oh yeah, it’s expensive too so expect to drop a lot, especially if having drinks and dessert. But worth it for a romantic time. Dress to impress too, it’s D.C.! Enjoy!

It’s like an insider’s old boys club… for you, whatever you are. I saw all types of Americans in this huge and exclusive restaurant. All are welcome from hard right to wavy left and everyone in between. Everyone eats crab, apparently. Speaking of, the crab bisque is great. The other food is good too. The waiters are good and I like the variety in them too. Very dark restaurant. And crowded.

We have been many places and this is one of the finest dining experiences we have had. The service is impeccable, the food is excellent. We will be back on this same trip for a second go round at this amazing restaurant. 5 stars is just not enough!

Food was very good. Service was ok… our server was not up to the standard that we saw in others around us. The place is very large, but not too loud. Our server did not have too many tables but was slow and barely attended to us after the salads were served. With a different server, probably would have given it 5 stars

Great location with a very creatove two story design that includes dining options in the main hall, side room or second story area. Great open atmosphere while not being too loud even when it’s crowded and packed. Service was impeccable and speedy. Food was prepared perfectly and all 6 of us in the party were impressed with our food and desert selections. A+

Joe’s was recommended by a friend of mine and I’m so glad we went. My wife and I visited DC for the first time and Joe’s was the best dining experience we had while there. We didn’t have reservations, but we lucked out and got seats at the bar right when we came in. The bartender was great, and even though he was extremely busy making drinks for everyone, he still made time for us to feel well taken care of.

Every Joe’s we visit is great and this one in our nation’s capital is no different. Food was excellent quality and our server Bridget was outstanding. She recommended the braised short rib and it literally “melted in your mouth”. Can’t think of one critical thing, uh maybe too many politicians handshaking…it was fine, no worries!
