We have been a few times now. My wife said sushi was ok. I had tempora seafood and it was very good. I tried the teriyaki seafood, and the fish wasn’t fresh, and shrimp was slightly overdone. Just had tempora shrimp and chicken. Such a great meal

Neat on the inside, sat down and ordered drinks. Diet coke and jasmine tea, tea was boiling hot. I mean I could not drink it the entire time we waited for food and ate. After drinks we didn’t see the waiter for 8 minutes. My wife enjoyed her shrimp tempura and spicy crab. I ordered the yellow tail and the spicy yellow tail. Nothing was spicy, no resemblance of any capsicum. Both my rolls were sour and the tuna didn’t taste fresh at all. My wife most likely enjoyed hers because of the mountain of condiments atop this art piece.

We ordered take out from Kawa this evening. The prices were reasonable and food tasted very fresh. The crab rangoons and sauce that came with it were delicious. California, Philadelphia and Dinosaur roll were great. Looking forward to coming here again.

Decided to give this place a second try. Wasn’t impressed with the service nor food the first time around. Ordered spicy crunchy yellowtail roll. Couldn’t identify what fish was in there but could have sworn I tasted tuna like from a can. No identifiable pieces of fish to be found, not spicy, and not crunchy. First bite almost tasted a little “off.” Hope I don’t end up sick. Other food was okay, not worth the $42 I paid (just myself!). Service staff seemed short tempered and unhappy. Sushi at Publix is better and that’s not saying much. At this price point the sushi and service ought to be excellent.

We’re new residents of Inverness, and wanted to find a good sushi place. While it is a cute place decor wise, the food was just OK. The server was unfriendly and short with every interaction. We ordered edamame, about 5 or 6 different rolls, and the chicken teriyaki. The rolls were good, but the chicken was not. It seemed like it was rubbery, bland, and had a bad smell and taste. We didn’t bother sending it back, and just took it home for our pups. Looks like we’ll be on the lookout for a GOOD sushi place now.

Kawa is great! I got takeout through their website because I was in a hurry. I wish I could have sat down! The decorations were so much fun to look at, and it was so cozy. My favorite of the rolls I tried was the Sweet Valentine Roll. The West 10th St roll was also very good. The Fishing Man roll wasn’t for me. They had ramune for sale, which is hard to find. They had strawberry, orange, green apple, and I think grape flavor? I was a little disappointed because my favorite is lychee. Their website is very good.

Absolutely delicious! We ordered sushi rolls which were awesome (Snow White, Tuna Amazing and Green dragon rolls). Very fresh tasting. Chicken teriyaki with vegetables was delicious! Chicken was cooked perfectly and was very flavorful. I got the lunch portion which was HUGE and it came with two spring rolls, rice, three pieces of sushi, soup AND salad. Very impressive! Because of Covid they are still only doing take out. No dining in. Food was just as good to go as if we’d eaten there. Many outside seating areas around the square to eat but we took ours down to the park and ate next to the lake. Staff was very nice, wore masks and covid precautions taken seriously. We will definitely be back! This is definitely my new sushi place.
