Service couldn’t have been friendlier or more professional. This little place had some of the best collards I’ve ever tasted, with big chunks of smoked pork hiding among the leaves. The Southern-style mac and cheese (dense, more like a casserole) was divine and loaded with cheese. My fried shrimp were perfect, with good sweet potato fries. They would have gotten 5 stars had they not been out of cod and oysters, but let’s say this is a solid 4.5.

Off The Hook is one of my favorite restaurants to get food from! The staff is always friendly and greeting me with a warm smile when I walk in the door and I am never left anything other than full and satisfied when I get a meal from there. Five stars! Highly recommended!

Newly renovated this place definitely screams restaurant sit down Gathering Place. The food well it speaks for itself it’s off the hook! Come through and treat yourself to some fried goodness or steamed. Tantalizing sides and surprise they have jerk chicken and all your Southern favorites like greens mac and cheese and corn bread.

No frills place serving fresh fish and chips, and other seafood. The whiting was on point, so was the cornbread. I would highly recommend this place if you’re in the neighborhood. Very pleased to have found this place.

Some of the best fried fish I’ve ever had. Catfish was amazing, but the fried cod was like the fish equivalent of cotton candy. It just melted in my mouth. Counter guy was wicked friendly and accommodating as well. All around 5 star experience.

First had their fried shrimp & fries off their food truck at Boulders stadium which was amazing. Then visited their location at Haverstraw and had the catfish, fried shrimp with black eyed peas and sautéed shrimp with grits. The batter on the fried shrimp and catfish was just the right amount and had perfect seasoning. The black eyed peas & rice had an amazing flavor and was an excellent side. Can’t wait to go back. Anyone visiting this tasty restaurant won’t be disappointed.

Staff is friendly food is good. I always ask for season when I leave so I can sprinkle the old bay on top of the fish/shrimp and fries. The greens, baked Mac, and fish could definitely use more spices prior to being served (IMO b/c I like a lot of spices in my food). Shavon was great I haven’t seen her in a while but it was definitely better when she was working there. It’s a clean nice atmosphere and the staff are very respectful and friendly. Shrimp etoufee was Soo good. Definitely recommend this spot.

Kinda pricey, but what isn’t these days? I’m partial to the fried snapper. They have Caribbean fare as well. The dining area is fine enough to dine-in, but if you have a large family, take-out is probably a better option.

Not what I expected at first. But once I walked in….I knew I was in the right place! Everything just about made to order and is all “home-cooked” style. Ordered tilapia Po-Boy, Catfish nuggets, spicy shrimp, sweet potato fries, fresh lemonade—all good stuff and seasoned well. For now the only downside is you should call in to order….takes at least 20mins to prepare. Other than that…service is great and price is fair. Would definitely go back!!
