Visited this wonderfully authentic Italian restaurant for dinner and will definitely be back. The saffron ricotta cake desert was a particular treat. Good menu, great service, and many good vegetarian options as well.

This place is located in a prime spot in takoma park. There is free one hour parking opposite to it. We got 1. Pollo alla Parmigiana (5/5) the taste of the chicken was amazing, fried well and tender. The sauce that comes with it was excellent. Only flip side though no pasta with it. 2. Tagliatelle alla Genovese (5/5) I am not a sea food fan, but this dish was amazing too. The pesto was light and the meat was very tasty. The fresh tomatoes add a great freshness to the dish. Overall an amazing place to go. We got to go due to covid.

This place has officially become a regular date night for us! It is the most delicious pasta I have ever eaten and even past that, the staff is incredible. Every single thing is amazing, but my favourites are definitely the fried calamari appetiser and the gnocchi with mushrooms and cheese. I’ll be recommending it to everyone and anyone who will listen!

I ordered calamari and a caesar salad. I thought the calamari would be the real deal tentacles and all but it was the stripes and circles for $15 all I tasted was breading , when I expressed my grievances there was no accomadations, which is fine. The caesar salad was good the dressing had anchovies like it should. I will come back and try the octopus. I always try to support local. The service was ok my waitress was nice.

Extraordinary Cavatelli Frutti di Mare — easily the best since my last trip to Perugia, Italy. Fair prices. Ready when promised (to go). Caesar was excellent too. (Garlic bread and parsley added at home.)

One of the tests I informally put to work when assessing an Italian restaurant is whether it could exist somewhere in Italy. If not, I might typically be dissapointed (but not always). There’s a place for standard Italian American fare when done well, of course. The good news about this restaurant is that it can bridge the divide, depending on the diner’s tastes and desire for flavor adventure. The host, Roberto, who hails from Sardinia, has long been a respected restaurateur in Washington and the Maryland suburbs, previously at Amici Miei in Potomac and Rockville. Whether one wants pasta, pizza, or an unusual approach to seafood or meat, it is all here for the taking. There’s an adjacent pizza restaurant which connects to the main dining room here as well and there’s parking on-street as well in a paid lot. For the high quality, the food is priced well and one can scope out some of the lower cost items if that’s the aim as well. This restaurant is a bit of a neighborhood gem, but it is also worthy of a special trip “across town” for those who want authentic Italian cuisine.
