I got the catfish and shrimp basket reg with red beans & rice with some fries. The fries were okay. The beans and rice had sausage in em that the upped the flavor.. The cat and shrimp were pretty good but the boudin balls stole the show! I got one reg and one cheesy and I couldn’t put em down! I left stuffed as a turkey

I found another jewel and this time it’s in HUMBLE!!! I had plans to meet up with a friend to make up for missing her birthday dinner a few weeks ago, so I looked for a Black owned business close to her side of town and found Georgia’s Catfish Kitchen on Google and let’s just say we BOTH ended up leaving with great gifts!! From the friendly welcome to the awesome assistance with ordering, Scott was a pleasant representative of the GCK brand. From the mouth-watering assortment of freshly prepared items on the menu, I selected the regular size Catfish & shrimp box which came with not 1, but TWO sides…. I selected for and Seasoned green beans and I HAD to try a cup of the gumbo. The fish & shrimp were seasoned perfectly and were fried JUST RIGHT!! The only thing I didn’t like about the gumbo was that I got a cup when I should have gotten a BOWL!!! EVERYTHING WAS DEEEEEE-LICIOUS!!! I WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!!!

I has the catfish and shrimp basket with green beans and French fries. Everything was good! I especially enjoyed the fresh green beans. I sent my sister back up there for our dinner, but the kids ate my plate before I could. I made sure I put my two sides of green beans to the side. Lol. I was going to get some food for the road, but unfortunately they are closed today. I will be back next time I’m in town though!

This was our first time at Georgia’s and must say, will not be the last. It was very good. Great flavor and seasoning. We had the catfish, oysters, shrimp, red beans and rice, green beans and hush puppies… and man it was good. The gentleman at the counter was personable with a great attitude!! Felt like we had went to see family!! Good luck with that grand baby!!!! ❤

Georgia’s was good, the gumbo was tasty and I loved the green beans. The peach cobbler cake was very good. The wait was a little long, but it all was made fresh so no real complaints. Definitely would go again.

UPDATE – I went back with my mom who has high blood pressure. I asked the lady at the counter if they could lightly season the food and was met with such ATTITUDE. I was informed that the food is preseasoned and they always season their food perfectly. I tried to explain that my gumbo was a bit salty last time and was ignored. The fries were soggy, thw fish was swimming in oil, and the jambalaya had lots of burned pieces (no meat). The side orders were wrong and when I asked for the correct ones, the lady and the kitchen staff started to argue about who was wrong as I stood there looking on. I am giving two stars because my last encounter was good but I will not return.

My sister and I went today for dinner and were very impressed by the customer service and then we tasted the food. We both had catfish and shrimp combos. My sides were green beans and jambalaya. Then added a cup of gumbo. Being a Louisiana girl, I give them two thumbs up. The catfish was fresh, flaky and flavorful. The green beans were crisp and also full of flavor and the gumbo was definitely Louisiana style. I will definitely return.
