The food here was phenomenal, and the portions were huge. I highly recommend the boom boom shrimp and the boudin balls. Also, the boom boom shrimp poboy, and the crab cake burger. The food was so good, I am already looking forward to going back! Please stop by and check this place out for yourself! The Boom Boom Shrimp Poboy, was the best shrimp poboy I think I’ve ever had.

Broken Boundaries
What a great last stop on our way out of LA! Had to try Gator before we left the state. Food and service were great. Fun gator decor from the truck stop attached. Lots of cute things for last chance souvenir shopping. Only complaints are that I’m very disappointed the gator bites didn’t come with fries, especially for the cost. Also the floors are dangerously slick, my guess they use the same mop and water full of grease from the kitchen.

Food was pretty good. I had the shrimp etouffee over rice and everything was fresh and delicious. Customer service was A1,nice southern hospitality. All truckers/travelers should add this one to their list.

We ate some great cuisine. The establishment was cozy and clean, and the staff was helpful. I urge everyone to give it a try. fantastic for kids as well. At midday, they also offer plate lunches. plenty of food for the price. I can turn a single lunch into two dinners.

This restaurant is amazing! The service was great! Eric attended to my business guests very professionally and was attentive to every need. The restaurant was clean and the decor really makes you feel like you’re eating in a restaurant in New Orleans. The food was fresh, delicious and well portioned. I highly recommend you get the alligator appetizer! That was the best alligator bites I’ve ever had. I ordered the stuffed catfish that was perfectly paired with a cornbread and sausage stuffing. It was on a bed of rice with shrimp etoufe poured on top! Unbelievable!!! Opelousas has a hidden gem with this restaurant!

The food is good and the prices are very reasonable. The staff was friendly and establishment comfortable and clean . Highly recommend all to try. Great for children also. They also serve plate lunches at noon. A lot of food for your money. I can make two meals out of one plate lunch.
