We’ve ordered Hawthorne’s delivery a few times, their pizza and calzones are delicious and reasonably priced. The toppings are varied and fresh, and unlike many New York style pizzerias, Hawthorne’s pizza is not over oily. We went today for dine-in, and the waiter was extremely courteous and professional. The outdoor seating area is pretty, has plenty of cover if the weather isn’t perfect, and some nice outdoor cushions for large gatherings.

We ordered take out pizza: a Sicilian and a New Yorker. The Sicilian was very disappointing. It was very dry because there was hardly any sauce or cheese on it. It was incredibly doughy. We ate a few slices and then threw away the rest of it. The New Yorker wasn’t great but my kids only ate one slice each. When they enjoy pizza, they eat a few slices. Had high hopes for the pizza.

Huge surprise. The food was great. Large portions and delicious. I ordered The Crew 9″ pizza and Penne Ala Vodka. Way too much for one person… but I ate the lot. Was way too nice not to finish. The staff were good but the atmosphere was missing for me. A few more TV screens with sports on or live music or something would have made the experience perfect.

I recently ate dinner at Hawthorne’s on a Friday night with a friend. It was very crowded, which is a good sign that people like eating here. They also have a busy takeout service. We sat at the bar and had a pepperoni pizza that was outstanding. I ate four slices because it was so good, and I usually do not eat that much. They also have a good craft beer selection, and the bartenders provide good service. I am a fan of Hawthorne’s pizza.

Here is a shout out to Olivia and the great staff at Hawthorne’s! Called them last minute to get reservation for 14. They had our table ready for us when we got there at 7. We ordered 4 large pizzas and they were awesome. Olivia was our waitress and she was amazing. We were celebrating multiple birthdays. If you want great food and great service, this is your place. Thanks again Hawthorne’s!

I love Pizza and I have pretty high standards. I’ve tried different restaurants, made my own, etc. I’ve tried a couple different Hawthorne’s and this one is definitely up there as one of the best. The New Yorker is an amazing pie. I finally tried the Crew Pizza this time and I don’t know if I’ll get anything else again.

Huge 18 inch pizza. Recently moved from New Jersey to North Carolina. This is the first pizza I had that tasted like it came from a great NY/NJ pizzeria, despite so many pizzerias putting “New York” in their name.
