Amazing to visit a proper Jewish deli. Great selection of kosher items. Chopped liver was awesome, Not to sweet. Lox were beautiful, tender but with enough bite to stay on the bagel. Can’t wait to get home and try the rest of the treats we bought.

I had the tootsie and my boyfriend, the stark diez –both were really great sandwiches! Appreciated the way they wrap their togo orders and complementary dill pickle! Would love to try more from this place!

This place is wonderful. Family owned. Feel like I walked back in time when I walk into the door. Great service. LARGE sandwiches. Try the hot corned beef Ruben sandwich. Great bagels. Fantastic smoked salmon.

I LOVE PROTZEL’S!!! Seriously the best Jewish deli in St. Louis. I usually get the pastrami reuben – it’s fantastic. They’ve got an incredible selection of Fitz’s sodas, too, along with an array of other things for sale such as matzah, jams, crackers, chips, AND MORE. Every sandwich comes with a pickle – duh! And the matzah ball soup is a perfect cold day remedy. All the employees are so kind (shout out to the one who notices my Star Wars shirts!). They even sell merchandise with the adorable Protzel Guy logo. No matter the occasion, GO TO PROTZEL’S! <3

Discovered this gem a few weeks ago and we’ve already been back several times. Lox and cream cheese bagel is the best I have had in St Louis. All sandwiches I’ve had have been excellent. But perhaps the best thing about this pace are the people that work there/family that owns it. Super nice folks that deservedly take pride in their shop and products they offer.

Only place in town for real Jewish deli foods. Great matzo hall soup! (The photo is from Passover – one of their busiest days of the year. Not usually that busy.)
