Very pleasantly surprised by the food quality at this place. Having lived over two decades in Asia, I highly recommend this place as I was not expecting like this outside of NYC. I got the Penang curry with beef which was outstanding and my spouse got the salmon bento box and we got the 3 sushi rolls. Besides being flavorful, the sushi has little rice and more inner ingredients which is my optimal preference.

I have gone to Tomo Asian Bistro for many years now. At one point I was ordering takeout every Tuesday night because they have a sushi special on Tuesdays. I have also dined in at times, accompanied by my two children. The food, no matter what I order at different visits is always excellent. The staff are always very attentive and extremely friendly. The one employee recognize me by name when I come in.

The restaurant was nice and clean. The food was prepared fairly quickly. We tried the lunch menu: pad Thai, Thai basil, and fried rice along with sushi rolls. My favorite was fried rice as it had a lot of flavor and tasted very good. However, the server was not very nice. It took the server a long time to take our order and during taking our order, he left abruptly to another table, interrupting our order. Seemed impatient and rude. But I am still giving three stars because of the food.

This place is a hidden gem. Unusual in a strip mall to have a restaurant definitely asian fine dining. Hot and sour soup was perfect and the duck. Oh my. Anyone who loves duck understands duck is a fatty greasy bird but this duck was perfection. These guys know what they’re doing. Great atmosphere. Clean peaceful and friendly fast service.

Do not go here if you have any type of allergy!!!!!! The staff is not considerate or knowledgeable when it comes to allergies. I have a gluten allergy – celiac and I asked all the questions I typically ask when I order my food and they assured me it was gluten free. I pick up my food (drunken noodles) and it contained breaded chicken in it. I called and asked if the chicken was breaded for my GF meal and they said yes it is lightly breaded. I explained to them that if you say something is gluten free it should not have any gluten. I went back with the food and brought it to them, not touched. They give me a new one and the new food had tofu in it that was fried (I had asked them to only use veggies). Again not gluten free because they do not have separate fryers for their meat. This place is ridiculous and do not understand allergies or cross contamination. Wouldn’t recommend. They shouldn’t be serving people if they don’t understand the health consequences of people who eat things they are allergic to.

I have always enjoyed the rolls at tomo Asian bistro but the other night I tried their appetizers, the Poke mix and their ceviche. Both were delicious, very satisfying and I walked away feeling full but not bloated. Also, the service was excellent. Will try this combo again.

The food is really good here. They have a variety of lunch and sushi specials during the week. The only reason I took 1 star off is that whenever they are busy, the wait time is always longer than what was stated. I’ve also had errors on my orders. Recently I ordered 2 shrimp hibachi dinners to go and received salmon instead.

Great experience. It was wonderful to be able to sit outside on a beautiful dinner evening. The food was delicious. The service was excellent. This place is a local gem! I tried something different tonight but ordered my favorite to go for lunches this week (pineapple fried rice)!
