This was a wonderful discovery! Hands down a super find to come across. The atmosphere ,the absolute fresh tasting food that was made with alot love . They make everything themselves,including sauces and dressings. Had the pleasure of meeting the establishments owners Robert and lovely wife. This is a place I will return too,as I’d like to try everything on the menu! Oh ,yes and the dessert, was mouthwatering. Please do stop by ,you won’t regret it!!

We were traveling south for vacation. I prefer to travel the side roads. I found this place “along the route.” It has a relaxing atmosphere. All the food is locally sourced, if possible. All of the staff, as well as the owner, were very friendly.

We enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere was good. Our waiter was very nice and very witty (I enjoyed his humor). Food was pricey, but portions fit the amount. I had the shrimp tacos for my meal. They provided way more shrimp then I was able pack into my tortilla shell, so I ended up just eating them with a fork (not a bad thing). My wife had the shrimp po-boy, huge portion of shrimp and a large amount of lettuce (almost too much). We had shrimp for our appetizer. They were good but the for the price seemed a bit too much didn’t blow my socks off. We left with a tart that was very good (a must try).

We stopped here for lunch. Loved the frog motif. Really enjoyed our meals. The shrimp tacos were excellent. The grilled pineapple was delicious. My husband enjoyed his burger with roasted potatoes. The carrot cake that was brought out before our meal that we continued to enjoy for dessert was absolutely delicious. We have been driving through Front Royal for years and this was a great discovery.

I love restaurants that source locally which is why we came here for lunch, but unfortunately we did not have the best experience. We waited over an hour for our food and there were only two other tables with customers. The owner was very nice and came to check on us multiple times and assured us our food was on the way but realistically he should have been helping his staff or at least given us warning that there was going to be a delay.

Update: We came back for lunch today but was quite disappointed this time! The waitress came for orders when we were trying to connect to the wifi, then she said she would go get us the wifi password but never came back! Then the owner came to our next table and talked to the guests but then walked away without even looking at us! So I had to call him to place order.

So delicious, owner is wonderful. Homemade breads, homemade hollandaise sauce, maybe the best homemade garlic potatoes we have had. Definitely recommend making the trip or stop if you’re passing through Front Royal.
