I travel up and down the eastern seaboard which requires me to often eat out on the road. I usually eat to live; tonight, I lived to eat!! I found Cooter’s online and thought I’d give it a try. This is a gem off the beaten path. Not much to look at on the outside but what is inside is worth the trip. The order was actually ready faster than promised (they text you to let you know it’s ready). I ordered the half-rack of dry rub ribs (Wednesday night special), collard greens, and beans. The amount of food was a pleasant surprise; more than I was expecting. The meat on the ribs fell off the bone. The collards had a hint of sweetness (not too much) so I was glad I didn’t add my normal vinegar. The beans were a little disappointing by good. I was expecting more of a smoke taste. The price for the amount of food I got was well worth it. I WILL DEFINITELY RETURN when back in the area and would highly recommend this restaurant!

Absolutely a local favorite! Everyone knows of this little shack! Get here early on rib night! They do not have many seats available and there really isn’t any decent place to wait either. They are known for their ribs! I’ve eaten here several times over the past 6 years. Always the ribs. Always wet. Always spicy. But I decide to switch it up this time. I went with the BBQ and two sides. I was not disappointed. The beer selection here is decent as well. Everyone I’ve brought here has not been disappointed. I would recommend this place, and I will absolutely be back. You can also buy bottles of their sauce if interested. I usually buy one or two when I’m in town.

Ordered dry ribs with sauce on side . Sauce didn’t never make it to the grocery bag. U gave me a sample of hot sauce that was awesome, just hot enough to enjoy the meal with some cold beer. Fries were not enough for 2 people. Ribs were pull off but not fall off the bone. But hey man y’all were busy. I’m gonna cut u a little slack and say the meat and sauce had a amazing taste to them. I had a draft beer why I was picking up the food. The glass and the beer was nice and cold. So I’m gone give u a A+, I will b back again. Man I got my belly full and still sit there and ate the rest of the ribs ,they taste that good. Y’all don’t quit what your doing! U are the best around.
