Stay away. First the food. The oxtail w rice and peas and plantain. The rice and peas were over cooked. First time I’ve had this badly cooked rice in a long time. I’d be unhappy serving this at home, never mind paying guests at a restaurant. The rice were too soft, almost like mash. The oxtail was tasty but almost only bone. A dog would be left asking for more. The atmosphere is nice. If you want ear deafening music, and hoarse voice after dinner from trying to shout over the music to to have a conversation with your friends. The actual music is great, as I love salsa and other Latin genres, but volume is way too high. The view of Manhattan skyline is really good. But int this particular area of New Jersey, near the coast, you get it in plenty of places. Lastly, there’s some shenanigans going on in the restaurant parking lot. They insist on valet, even if you can easily park your car yourself. Even if you park yourself, they require a 5 dollar payment. When you collect the car, there is only one lonely parking attendant who is not fast enough to return cars to all waiting guests, so you just end up waiting. Not efficient, not convenient, so why valet? Money grab, that’s why.

Food overall was a 9/10, very fresh and flavorful. The drinks could be a little stronger but overall they were 7/10. Good music, & great environment. This is definitely a place with a view as well. They have valet parking $10 cash.

I did not get the waiters name, but the service was not good. We came here for Mother’s Day, and of course, it’s a busy day, but it doesn’t serve as an excuse to provide bad customer service. The waiter demonstrated very little patience and didn’t seem to care with delivering his guest with a good customer experience. The main focus was to take your order and bring it to you when he’s ready. The dishes were brought out barely warm, which sucks. At one point, I ordered a 3rd glass of wine and had to wait 25 minutes for it, why? Lastly, if you’re a plant based eater and order a salad for your entree, check out the photo I included to provide you with an idea on what to expect (shaking my head). I will NEVER return here!

I was here on a Thursday our server was Yaport, worst restaurant experience of my existence, there were about 7 tables sat within 3 feet of one another, none larger than a party of 5. Our waitress, for lack of better word, horrid. She was extremely passive aggressive from the jump never checked on us after drinks, got our appetizers wrong, never checked on us after entrees, you couldn’t even see her at all on the floor. For some reason, we had to give the entire order all at once which we didn’t mind, but our waitress didn’t write anything down and of course messed up our orders. The waitress either needs better support (Bussers) or just needs to be trained better. We cleaned up every plate. Either way, for 5 people and the money we spent, it was unacceptable. We gave this place a FAIR CHANCE; we really let so much slide, gave her the benefit of the doubt, but at a certain point there were no more excuses. Save yourself the time, annoyance, and work (being that we basically cleared the table and had to search for anyone just to give us our check) and DO NOT spend money here. I work at one of the top 30 restaurants in new jersey and can tell you I wouldn’t be able to work there if I couldn’t tell good service from bad.

The food was delicious and the atmosphere was fun. Music was lively. Plenty of spots for photo ops.

The description on the website is a bit misleading. The view is beautiful and the decor nice. However, we found nothing cozy or romantic about this establishment. The food and drinks were mediocre for the prices. If you are into wine with dinner, this is not the spot for you. Wine selection leaves much to be desired. The atmosphere is great if you want ear deafening music and a sore throat after dinner from trying to shout over the music to have a conversation at your table. The music is great, but the volume is so high it is truly distorted. Our party included an elderly person and a person with asthma. The hookah smell was making the person ill. I believe you can’t have it all or be everything to everyone. You’re either a club or a restaurant. Or you can schedule your club hours for later in the evening and POST so that people are not taken aback when they show up for a nice dinner and encounter a club. In addition, not sure what the story is with parking. Some are charged $5, some $10. Why the need for valet?

The food and atmosphere was awesome, however the service we received from our server was atrocious. She was rude every single step of the way, understandably it was a busy night but the other servers who noticed the type of service we were getting and ACTUALLY stopped by periodically to check on us were super nice and in the same section. We left because of how uncomfortable and disappointing the service was but would’ve loved to stay and order more.
