Great food, service, and atmosphere. They had gluten-free buns, and my country club sandwich was pulled high with thick cut tomatoes. My friends had the nachos and a flatbread, and they said it was phenomenal.

We stopped by for drinks and opted to try appetizers. We ordered frickles whick are egg rolls with ham,swiss and pickles. They are served with honey mustard for dipping. They are crispy and delicious. We also tried the jerk chicken quesadilla which was loaded with full flavored chicken. There was pico and sour cream on the side. Finally we had the chicken wings in buffalo sauce. They were fried perfectly and the sauce was not overly spicy hot. They were served with ranch on the side. The staff was friendly and food came out quick. We will return as I cant wait to try the salad.

After our Soo Locks tour, we decided to give the Grillroom 1901 a try! I must admit we were also interested in the lobster roll sandwiches. The Grillroom 1901 at Sault Ste. Marie Country club was comfortably appointed with a contemporary theme style type atmosphere and offered high-quality lunch and dinner favourite foods. I ordered the lobster roll with sweet potato fries, a Hudson salad and a Diet Coke and my meal came to approximately $28 with a $6 tip for a total of $34. The sweet potato fries were the best fries I’ve ever had! The Hudson salad was big and I could have eaten just the salad, but since we didn’t eat lunch, this meal was my lunch and dinner. Sadly, they did not have any dessert as there was a big graduation party that had been hosted. I understand the owner makes the desserts herself. The service was friendly and fast! If you’re a golfer ️♂️ (or not), this would be the perfect place to eat breakfast, lunch or dinner. I highly recommend eating here as I was not disappointed! If I’m in this area again, I will definitely eat here!

Had an amazing time at the Grillroom 1901. We were looking for a venue that could accommodate 32 people for dinner, which is no small task 🙂 From first contact we were impressed with the team at the Grillroom 1901. They were well staffed, food was fantastic, and their team served our large party with ease. If you have not tried their food, we highly recommend!

This restaurant is inside of a golf club. We were all hungry after a day of sightseeing and decided to get some food. Not a lot of healthy options and the rest of that area. So we ended up at Grill room 1901. We were pleasantly surprised that the tasty food, very waitress who worked with us. She even let me know that the meal that I was going to get could possibly have some gluten in it steered me away from it. Super helpful.

Stopped in on our first trip to Sault Ste Marie and had a fantastic time. The waitresses were prompt, attentive and checked on you just the right amount of times. The short rib nachos were the perfect sized, delicious and overall some of the best nachos ever. The 12oz. NY Strip was cooked perfect with excellent sides of green beans and fries. Great place, great food and great service!!

What a lucky find for us! It is so hard to find a place to eat on Mondays and Tuesdays in so many parts of our state due to staffing and supply shortages. We did a lot of research online and found this lovely restaurant/bar as part of a beautiful golf complex right along the river. The food was outstanding! Our server was wonderful and one of the owners was present and filled us in on their amazing dining operation. I should have taken a picture of my chicken marsala which was up there with the best I’ve ever had. My wife had the whitefish tacos. There were three oversize tacos, each with a huge, perfectly cooked portion of delectable fish! If you want a memorable meal I suggest you skip the tourist trappings and find this place right at the outskirts of town. But hurry, they will shut down for the winter soon.

A special place owned by special people!!!! We make sure to dine here twice over our long weekend stays. Or more. LOL SHOUT OUT FOR MAKING OUR VISIT HERE IN JUNE of 2022 EVEN MORE AMAZING!: We took my 94 year old mother up to Sault Ste. Marie for her birthday to gamble June of last year. We came in for an early lunch and my mom mentioned that she felt like having breakfast. Typically breakfast was not served on this day however the waitress went and spoke to the owners and they pulled everything out and made my mom breakfast. She swore that was the best breakfast and potatoes she had had in years. Thank you so much for your kindness and making my mother feel so special! She passed away that October and you helped make her last birthday weekend just that much more amazing for us all! You really must stop in and try this restaurant located within a golf course club house. One of our party,by choice,follows a gluten free diet and at times it can be a challenge finding a restaurant offering options that include a burger bun. We ordered the Americana Chips, French Dip with sweet potato fries on a gluten free bun and the Hero Sub with garlic Parmesan chips. The Americana chips are fresh cut and fried, covered in cheese,chicken, red onion, avocado and a spicy mayo, Amazing! The French Dip was yummy as were the sweet potato fries. The Hero Sub was delish,served on a fresh grilled Italian bread with fresh lettuce and sliced salt and peppered tomatoes. Just like if at home!!!! My partner and mother were pleased as there are a multitude of drink options to include local beers and cider. We will be back before returning home to try the burger and seconds on the Americana Chips! Yes, Following guidelines for the pandemic.
