With a small shellfish allergy, I thought it would be nice to order some mussels, oysters and fried fish. Unfortunately, I was told that they use the same boiling water with the shellfish so I opted for the fried oysters and fried catfish with fries. I can’t believe they thought it was ok to serve uncooked fries. Look at the pics and although they did give us fresh, extra fries, I had eaten half of my meal. The customer service was great. I would love to come back and give them a try.

Okay I went maybe 3 months ago on a lunch with my Uncle and cousin and loved it. I went back last week with my friend and it was totally different. I ordered the King crab legs and the shrimp basket. I think they rushed my shrimp because the batter fell off all 8 shrimp. The Cajun fries were good. Now with the crab legs you get 2 corn and 2 potatoes. It was barely any juice in the bag and it was watery. No color at all therefore no seasoning and I like to dip my corn and the crab meat in the juice. I only at 1 crab leg and took the other 1 home to add seasonings and make some more juice. I don’t think I will be going back..

What an amazing experience I had. The food was delicious. The music was great and the drinks were getting the job done. You could never complain about a good Happy Hour. Everything was fairly priced. The fried soft shell crab and the calamari for an appetizer were delicious and the crab boil was filled with so much flavor. The best part was Emmanuel’s hospitality. He provided the kinda service you wish you had at every restaurant you go to. Thank for the experience. Will definitely return.

Super fast services sat down around 815 ordered and it was out at 825. The food it amazing I would say it’s definitely my top 5 of my favorite seafood places. 1 was New Orleans, this place maybe a good #2 or 3 away from the sea kind of good.

Was not empressed on the selection made. The boiled options were not bad. Seasoning was off compared to the other crab place. Had the fried catfish. No texture with the filet pieces. They had the consistency of mashed potatoes. Straight out, MUSH. Crispy batter outside, but inside was a bug fail. I brought this up to our server and it was like business as usual. No other options offered. She even mentioned that the chicken strips struggle at times. I said the fish must be frozen and not prepared correctly. Or just old stock and maybe old oil. Her response was ” would you like any dessert “. They might have received a 3 star but after paying 70 dollars. Then having to stop and get something to eat on the way home. If its boiled your ok. If fried, its a roll of the dice.. Not right.

Pier 88 is an excellent restaurant. The food is fresh, clean, and the staff are very professional and friendly. I had the fried catfish with french fries and a sweet tea and the value for the portion size were really good

I think the food was really good. I ordered the lb. of Green Mussels, and for the table the popcorn shrimp and fried calamari. One of my brothers got the fried oysters and fries, he was disappointed. my other brother got the wings, he was satisfied. I thought they were generous with the mussels. my bag had only one cob of corn and one potato. the house sauce was very good and my brothers agreed. However, our service wasn’t good. Our Server was Valeria, it seemed like she was avoiding our table. I saw her peek at us from the kitchen but not come to help us. Her customer service needs a lot of help. At the end of our dining experience, my brother noticed and pointed out to me that she was preoccupied with her male-coworker. I was pretty disappointed also in the fact that my brother didn’t enjoy his food.

The food was great! My husband and I tried the oysters, green muscle, and fried calamari. We got an order of tenders and fries for our toddlers. The tenders are large and it was more than enough for both my girls to share. We enjoyed the green muscle with pier 88 mild sauce and I recommend it. We definitely plan on coming back again. The waitress said they do not currently have a liquor license so those that want to go on a Friday night may not be too thrilled. They may receive a lot more service if the sold adult beverages. Overall, good service and food.
