The most romantic atmosphere we have found in Connecticut. The customer service was superb, the food was amazing and the wine selection was right on point. Tonight’s dinner transformed our ordinary Thursday into a remarkable memory. We’ll definitely go back soon and hope to see our new friend Ron who took such great care of us tonight.

This place was amazing! The entire experience from making reservations, putting a note that it was our anniversary, greeting us and them saying happy anniversary, a card on the table saying they wish us a happy anniversary to the food. We both chose the chef menu which is a 5 course amazing option that I’d highly recommend! You will absolutely leave full to the brim. The drinks were delightful. The service was top notch as well.

This was maybe the greatest dining experience I’ve had. I love an occasional fancy dinner, and the chefs tasting menu definitely fits the bill. In case you are worried about “fancy” meaning you’ll leave hungry with tiny portions, do not worry. You do have smaller and medium sized portions, but there are so many courses that you will leave stuffed. I loved the experience of not knowing what was coming out next and having our waitress explain the dishes to us as they came. You can tell they are mindful about crafting their menu and take great care in the detail and flavors of their food. Everything I had was wonderful, even the virgin cocktails (I’m pregnant). They also were mindful about this when bringing my food and made sure I was comfortable with how it was cooked. Wait staff was excellent and well educated on the menu and they all seemed happy to be there. We had made a reservation stating it was our anniversary so they even hand wrote us a little card for when we arrived and put ‘happy anniversary’ on our desserts which was thoughtful. We will be back on another special occasion!

Husband and I dined here tonight for our 10 year anniversary, our first time here, and we can’t get over the absolute wonderful experience we had. We decided to have the chef’s tasting menu with the drink pairing. Absolutely Amazing!!! Lincoln, our server, was fantastic! So knowledgeable on the courses and wines. Highly recommend! We will definitely be back!!

Very nice place with lots and I mean lots of parking. Nice well established place. Building, an Old mill is next to a small river, features seating both inside and out on a nice summer evening. Beautiful building features and accents with excellent drinks, food options are right up there, the visit we had was exceptional. My and I had a desert like we’ve never had before. It was like a crème cream, flon with shaved key lime ice on the edges topped with strawberry crumbles, the flavor profile was something unique, I must say it was impressively good. We gave our compliments to our waitress for her great, attentive service, both the chefs meal and pastry were awesome. Great night, however I was abit underdressed, that I will not do again. Staff seated us promptly in the tavern. We certainly enjoy the rustic atmosphere and are naturally drawn to it. There is a food truck with tacos and more outside with plenty of outside tables. My wife and I will certainly give that a go next time. Either way, great place to visit for a date or a special event. That will more than likely be your first of many visits. To all, enjoy good times, life is short.

I don’t know where to begin! I’ve know about this place for years and finally made it in for a meal. The staff were attentive without hovering nor being unavailable. When we asked for recommendations, they were spot on! The service belied the casual-ness of the room’s decor and scenery outside the big windows…which includes a waterfall. Then there was the food! My words will not do justice to the creativity and taste. How bizarre is it when one says that their favorite bite was the pickled tempura asparagus! Close behind was the shrimp and crustini appetizer followed by the foi gras mousse! Never would I imagine rating anything foi gras third! The steak was cooked perfectly and to gild the lilly, the strawberry shortcake was memorable, the creme Brule and granita were decadent and all wrapped up by the French press tableside coffee! If even considering this restaurant, just go!

I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a special dining experience. The restaurant has a beautiful river and waterfall view from everywhere, whether you’re dining in the main dining room or on the bridge. The service is excellent and attentive, and the food is absolutely delicious!
