The fried rice was decent. The California rolls were ok but not great. The tempura was absolutely disgusting. The shrimp tempura was not tempura but rather a planko style (which I was thankful for once I discovered how bad the quality was on our tempura veggies). The temperature was a very dark color indicating that the oil had not been changed in a long time. For the prices they charged I was expecting a pretty decent meal. I have been to many Japanese restaurants all up and down the west coast and in some other states too and this is by far the worst Japanese restaurant I’ve ever been to. In fact I can’t recall another time that I’ve had bad Japanese food. Sometimes it’s really good but usually it’s at least decent. Not here. Service wasn’t great either we kept having to flag down people to get things that we needed as they would not check on us very often. The locals seem to like it though so maybe my taste is just different.

Driving by you might not think this is going to be good place to eat in such small town but I am glad I decided to try it. Their sushi is amazing, staff is super polite, overall just great experience. This restaurant is well worth a visit.

Very tasty, small portions in the sushi rolls, but I think I actually like the ratio of ingredients better this way, not as much rice in the roll allows the other flavors to come out more fully. Nice family feel with the staff.

The other more than One-Star reviewers must be paid reviews or they are just as low-standard delusional as the people who run this restaurant. Ordered steak and veggies. Steak came out gray and cold in the center covered in some nasty sauce. The edamame was also very cold. Take a look at the included picture to see what their idea of “veggies” is. They must be having a carrot shortage in Kansas and a surplus of zucchini. My buddy’s fried rice might be in the top 5 nastiest things I’ve ever tasted. Avoid this place. You have been warned.

Japanese food is always one of my favorites but in my last experience it was totally a disappointment. The rice did not taste good as on other occasions and practically everything (rice, vegetables and meat) were cold at the time they served it. The service by the employees was excellent.
