We were driving thru Texas midweek and wanted a great steak. We found this location on the map, read about the history, saw others reviews, and decided that this was going to be dinner. We were not disappointed. The steaks were absolutely delicious and tender, likely the best that we’ve had in a long time. The fried onion strings also were an amazing choice for a starter, and we highly recommend. The salads were a basic leaf lettuce with onion, green pepper slices, and tomatoes. Please note that this steakhouse only serves non-alcoholic drinks (no beer, wine, etc.)

The place looks great and is very clean. The customer service was outstanding. The food was the only downfall of the visit but happened to be the main reason I was there. I think maybe they may have used some old flour for our bread and cobbler. The steak was bland but ok and the baked potato was great.

We’re so glad we stopped into McLean for lunch. I had grilled chicken. It was perfect. Cowboy beans were A+. Staff are so, so friendly and welcoming. The whole place is sparkling clean. I drive through here about once per year and will be coming back. Top-notch, all around!

We were passing through and it was one of the only places around, at least with a lot big enough for an rv. We weren’t the least bit disappointed. We took it to go they staff was very friendly and kind. The food was DELICIOUS and despite being dinner time and them being busy the wait wasn’t to long. I definitely recommend and will most likely be stopping back the next pass through Texas!

This place is phenomenal! Food, Service, and Atmosphere! They claim to have the best chicken Fried Steak in TX, and I now have to agree. two thumbs up!! Oh, and by the way, the pork chops and cobbler were equally delicious.

Great experience. Husband and I arrived 15 minutes before closing. They were very welcoming. Had the Friday night rib special. Delicious smoked flavor, meat fell right off the bone. Catfish had a crisp cornmeal coating with great flavor. To top it all off, they gave us complimentary Peach & Apple Cobbler.

Great route 66 (I40) Texas steakhouse. It’s the best of it’s kind in this area. Also super fast and friendly service. The steak was great along with the sides. Complimentary cobbler and fresh bread with dinner!
