We had my daughter’s 40th birthday there last night all I can say Awesome!!! Everything from service to food was some of the best I have ever had. Friendly service from the time you walk in until you leave. Please do yourself a favor and try them.

We usually go about 2-3 times a month. They absolutely have the best salad bar in North MS. We start off with their HOMEADE cheese sticks. These things are massive. They aren’t your frozen cheese sticks you get at most restaurants. They are amazing. Then we usually get the steak for two. Being honest with you, they have always had the best flavored, most tender steak for two. It’s always been a thick cut of meat cooked to our liking and seasoned really well so you get a good tasting steak. When our waitress asks me if I need steak sauce, I always tell her, “I hope not”. This last time we went, the salad bar was still wonderful, the cheese sticks were awesome, but the steak was just middle of the road. I did end up having to put steak sauce on it and it was a lot thinner piece of steak than normal. Maybe this is just the new trend, but I hope not. Bidenomics had ruined everything else. Please don’t let it ruin Simmer Down! Also let me say that the staff is second to none. Always on top of everything you need. I don’t know her name, but there’s a black lady there and she has the most vibrant personality! We try to sit in her section every time we go.

Stopped by on our way home from Florida. The food was delicious, the restaurant was clean and well decorated and the entire staff was wonderful!! Highly recommend this place!!

The servers name was Alan. He did an absolutely outstanding job with taking care of our table. The food? Exceptional! Phenomenal service! All members of staff were so polite, even offering to explain specialty menu items. My wife and I had appetizers, entrees, and dessert for about $70. Would HIGHLY recommend the fish or steak. If given the chance to eat here, take it! You won’t regret it!( Well, your stomach might after eating all the delicious food!)

Steak for two is amazing. I try to go eat here at least once a week. One time my steak was over cooked and they made sure I was happy before I left. Been great every visit. Awesome salad bar as well. Really friendly staff. Favorite local place to eat!
