Insane bro. Before I begin, I would like to say that our waitress was amazing and I love her. HOWEVER, I asked for tacos Al pastor in which the menu indicated was like $12. It was fine. A few minutes after ordering, our wonderful waitress comes to let me know that (according to her boss) my tacos have been up-charged to $15 because of where they get the meat ??? I’m sorry what??? Now I come from charleston, where 3 tacos usually range from $8-10 BUT $15 FOR THREE TACOS ??????? 3 small size tortilla tacos????? THAT IS $5 PER TACO. Insane. She asked if it was ok and my boyfriends mother said it was fine but I felt bad.. I asked our waitress if she could AT LEAST throw some shredded cheese on there for the moneys worth and she did which was cool of her. Love her. However, THERE WAS NOTHING SPECIAL ABOUT THIS MEAT EITHER. THEN my boyfriends mom (who also doesn’t like spice) ordered her some bbq wings .. that ended up coming with buffalo sauce on the inside because “they came that way” 😀 what? Like why not add that on the menu ALONG with all these other adjustments? Never ever coming back lol. Kudos to the waitress though, we loved you!

Disappointed is the best word for my visit. I wouldn’t recommend going within an hour of closing time. They close at 9 on a Friday night, we got there just after 8. The place was 60-70% full of people. Service was prompt but not inviting. Food took 30 min and came in big intervals. We were asked to use plastic forks I’m guessing to limit dishes being washed. Hard to eat a near boiling skillet plate of fajitas with a fork that was melting. Also told they were out of chips when we asked for more, then a table beside us gets a fresh basket. The food was cooked and tasted great, though. Maybe we caught them on a bad night.

We have eaten at Cabanas several times, the food is always good, the girls that work there are great, make you feel at home. We had the Cancun Fajitas, they were great, salmon, shrimp, scallops onions, peppers, mushrooms. One of the staff recommended it, was delicious, I always let the girls pick something out from the menu, so far every choice has been great. We will continue to go there.

Picked up an order about 8:30 and the taco salad was runny and my fiance’ ordered chicken nachos and they gave him a container of what looked to be Mexican soup How in the world can you mix up an order like that? They are nothing of the same.The girl up front at the register confirmed the order when we got ready to pay. When we got home, that’s when we realized they totally left out the chicken nachos.We have been regular customers in the past, but the service and food was awful and this was the last straw for us! We won’t be back!! If you want really good Mexican food, go to El Cerro in Conway or Del Sol in Dillon.

Left the restaurant without even ordering drinks. After a 20 minute wait to be acknowledged by our server, I asked if they had tonic for my vodka tonic and was told no. So my next choice was vodka cranberry to which I was told they had none. At that point we’d had enough and left. We’ve only eaten the twice before and the food is good, but the first two times they had no rum for my friend’s drink. We went to Florence for Mexican.

I can’t remember the name of our server, but she killed it that day we dined in. It’s was lunch rush and she was the only server for both our table and at least 6 or 7 others. She was able to keep up and cater to everyone all at the same time with as minimal wait time as she could manage. She was the real MVP that day!
