Not very many restaurants in Phoenix would survive in Chicago, (best food in the world), but here is one. ☺️ The first time I went, they had run out of a few sides , but I returned 2 days later and was totally satisfied. EVERYTHING was quite tasty . Ribs, whole wings, mac & cheese, yams, collard greens, potato salad, and rice/gravy. The dressing would have been perfect with gravy, (my ONLY disappointment). This is definitely my go-to place for Soul food when I don’t feel like cooking for myself. Good job Momma‼️

It’s up stairs!! If you’re a dasher or Uber eat it’s on the second floor. There’s a cool little shopping center near. Once you find it you will be in love with all dishes on the menu. I had the 8pc fried tilapia with fries. It was delicious yummy !!I’m licking my lips right now. The chicken and waffles is good also. I had the chance to see and talk with mamma!!❤️ I will come back often as possible, mamma have some fried okra ready for me please!

I’m truly sad that I have to leave this review, because outside of the food the customer service was amazing!. This was our very first visit, we spent $150.00, and our food was absolutely horrible!.. I took pics and a small video, but for some reason I can’t upload them, but our catfish strips were thin and EXTREMELY hard. So hard they crumbled in our fingers, and we could not eat them. The dressing was salty, and so were the greens. I did enjoy the mac and cheese, and the fries weren’t too bad either. It’s sad because we all were so excited about the food from our conversation with the young lady on the phone. This was a HUGE disappointment ESPECIALLY considering all the money that was spent.. I guess we needed to learn a very expensive lesson.

I ordered the pick 3 mix and match; Tilapia, Shrimp, and Catfish strips with a side of mac n cheese and dressing (fries included). Everything was seasoned and fried perfectly. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic soul food.

Real family-ran soul food/southern kitchen. Food was incredible. Greens were seasoned to perfection. Mac n cheese had the right amount of sauce and was not dry. Catfish was still crispy after 30 minute drive home. Absolutely no complaints and would return! Would love to see them get their own place in Phoenix. This is a pop up kitchen so be sure to order ahead – my order was ready as soon as I arrived.

EVERYTHING was perfect! It was my pleasure to enjoy the catfish dinner with greens & sweet potatoes. EVERYTHING was perfectly seasoned. Fish was fried to perfection. I ordered the beef tips to go for lunch the next day with jalapeños loaded fries & coleslaw. Even after warming in my air fryer everything was still delicious. The staff was friendly and professional. Overall a very delightful experience. I’ll be a regular anytime I visit the Phoenix area.

The first time I ordered I had the catfish nuggets and the fish was good but the coleslaw came in a tiny condiment cup. The 2nd time I ordered I got the smothered pork chops. The chops were fried to perfection but were too salty for consumption. The gravy also came in a condiment cup. I guess “Momma” can’t accept constructive criticism because I was blocked from their page. That was a very petty move. I love supporting black businesses but sometimes the attitude runs me away.
