This restaurant is the go-to for our family dinners and celebrations. They used to have a location in San Gabriel but have since closed. We are lucky we still have this location to go to.

The food was delicious, ordered New York, chicken, tempura and shrimp tempura roll. The shrimp tempura roll was the best. Came with salad (awesome dressing) and miso soup, white rice and ice cream at the end. I liked the vanilla ice cream more than the green tea

Delicious sashimi & sushi, and teriyaki chicken is not bad. Prices are reasonable and good service.

Food is good and the management seems to be on top of what the staff is about. Father’s day was busy as expected but they accommodated our reservation very well. Seemed like the customers were enjoying themselves from what I could tell.

Great service, friendly staff. It’s a childhood favorite of mine and has gone through changes. Pretty good value still with big portions that justify the new prices. Maybe it was the time of day I went but the fish was not as fresh as I remembered. The cooked items were as good as I remember. We had two bento boxes with sashimi, chicken, salmon and tempura and hand rolls. Would go back again for the nostalgia and for the cooked items.

Great place. Great food. Very popular so it may take a bit to get seated but well worth it.

This place has been around for a long time which means it’s a treasure. My family goes here for a lot of celebrations but this was my first time. I had the Teriyaki Beef. The meat was so tender and flavorful. The tempura was light and delicious. The sushi was great too. I love their food and will be back when I’m in town!

We went to have a sit down dinner after visiting the cemetery , we wanted to have a good dinner after since food always makes people happy, this wasn’t the case we all sat down and there was 10 of us the fact it was almost empty should of told me, but we all ordered there was two of us got dinner specials one which was chicken teriyaki which seemed like it was confit or a stew of there was no color on the chicken not even the sauce , I ordered a ramen which we all know the broth is good this was a spicy ramen which had no flavor but spice , I would rather make an instant one at home. The appetizer. Was had to be a joke if you are going to charge for a while order don’t bring out a tea plate to serve the almost 20 dollar item which consist of four pieces, we tried making best of it but we didn’t even get asked if we needed refills or had napkins being all servers standing around. When we got our 260 dollar bill which what was on the table or quality of did not meet the check when told about the teriyaki they shrugged it off and all they did was stand in conference by our table giving us dirty looks , we noticed the gratuity, maybe that’s why they don’t try and be hospitable all in all I’ve heard about this place and will be first and last time I go throw my money away on a restaurant that wants to sell dish water and noodles because that’s what it tasted like.

I got the combo of chicken teriyaki + tempura + sushi. Their sushi is fresh and definitely worth to eat here! The price is super reasonable and their portions never changed! They do have lunch specials so do call in to ask if you want to try it out. The interior is clean and the staffs were so nice. I usually place a phone order, so I walk in and they have you pay. Usually within 5 min, you’ll get your order! It’s pretty quick!

Tokyo Lobby has been around for 20+ years. It used to be my favorite place to come eat Japanese while in the West Covina area. The food tastes the same, so there is consistency there with the teriyaki sauce they use. Portion size, it was good for the price. However, the Service was slow, our server was a bit unattentive. We sat under an air-conditioned blower which was freezing and made the food get cold fast. nothing exciting about this food experience. We went there for nostalgic purposes. I’ll definitely try another sushi place to get good sushi .
