I first noticed this place when passing by on my way to take the Sam Houston boat tour of the ship channel and made a note to return another time for breakfast. While the promised “Best breakfast in Texas” on the sign may be a little over the top, Frank’s did not disappoint.

If you are looking for a place with 5 star service, 5 star food that comes in large portions, that had one dollar prices, come here. We have NO complaints. Came here from SC. If I’m ever in Houston again, I will return. Don’t allow your bugieness to allow you to miss out on, as the sign says, “the best breakfast in TX”.

This morning, I ordered via UberEats 2 pancakes, 2 sausage patties, grits, and a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. What I received was the sandwich, two pieces of toast, two biscuits (why was one wet?), a broken waffle, and somebody’s collection of condiments. How do you get an order so wrong? Breakfast dreams are as broken as that waffle.

Great down home cooking gem that hidden on the east side of town. The service was excellent and food was hot and prepared correctly . This is a very budget friendly place and the portions are big compared to Denny’s and I-Hop. Best time to come when it not TOO busy is after 10:30am, otherwise it will be kind of crowded. Dine-in is strongly encouraged rather than ordering pick-up. I seen pick-up orders here back up and patrons waiting for they’re food..I would give this place a 5 star if they address the check out process. They need to have separate line or sections for pick-up orders and dine-in or have two more register running. Each time we go its take a while to pay..With that being said IF YOUR looking for good homestyle food for breakfast and lunch at a reasonable price with big portions then this is a spot to try…eat well ☕

Ordered the franks burger. Waited over 45 minutes. Watched people that came in at the same time get their food, eat, and leave. Burger was soo dry left 3/4 of it on the plate. Wish I would’ve taken a pic. Get a breakfast plate, they seem to get them out quickly. I’m disappointed because I’ve heard good things about the place.

Well 1st off, if you go for 10:30-11, pack you a snack, They are exxxxtremely busy !. Our waitress was a doll. It did take a while to place our drink order and order then a while to get our food. The and are pretty good. The waffles were luke warm the chicken was super good. The “over easy” eggs were pretty much cooked like a bolied egg, toast was cold, and sausage was cold. The rest of the plate was ehhh. Ordered a side of hashbrowns they were good, still hot. Overall, it was, ehhhhh…

I would give them 0 stars if I could. Ordered meat lovers tacos through uber eats and this is what I recieved. These tacos were $6.99 each plus tax. Not worth it AT ALL. I could’ve gotten bigger portions for $2 each at a place up the street from my job. Attempting to try a new place to get food and it backfired. Never will I spend money here again. Ruined my morning break at work
