It was some of the best food and sweet tea me and my dad have eaten and they had great service and the people there are so nice and kind I recommend my favorite which was the pizza burger with mozzarella sticks with sweet tea

Rita is such an amazing person. Definitely stop in and at least check the place out. It’s a school converted into a restaurant with small grocery section. Perfect for those biking or hiking the C&O.

Had a delicious and very filling breakfast. Cash only with an ATM on-site. We showed up with no debit card and only $15 cash ♂️ Tammy was so generous, she insisted on serving us both a full breakfast anyway. We were beyond grateful, it made our day. I’ll always stop by for a meal whenever I’m riding the trail in the future.

This was a great place to stop on our first day on the C&O Canal Trail. The staff treated us like family and told us the history of this unique place. The food was great after riding long distances. They made us feel like family and we were so appreciative.

So this is a restaurant and store. Good was good, but service was very slow. Only had one person working, but definitely should have been more. They weren’t going to be open early enough for my breakfast so I bought some muffins and orange juice. Be there next morning I realized the expiration on the muffins was for 2009, and the oj was a couple months out of date. I was very surprised. I ended up eating up the trail. Very disappointing!!!

Definitely a pleasant surprise for breakfast one morning. The French toast and ham were awesome. The old school setting is very unique. Well worth the stop especially if you are riding the GAP trail.

Super historic cute diner in a repurposed 1977 school. Super friendly staff. One of the regulars for breakfast told me he drives half an hour for the awesome breakfasts. You can use the , too!

It’s a shame that schools have to close but what a beautiful way to keep a piece of your town alive. We were adventuring Oldtown when we stumbled across this little gem. The waitress was sweet and gave us a little history of the place.

Friendly atmosphere and good home cooking close to the C&O Canal towpath. Great if you’re bike riding on the towpath or driving through on rte 51
