We have been in the Deerlodge 4B’s restaurant 3 times over the past year just for the tomato soup. Sad to say we were disappointed all 3 times. I let the waitress know the first two times the soup was not made correctly! This last time I didn’t say anything, figured if I put it in the rating it MIGHT help.

I ordered the county fried steak. The white cream gravy was yellow and tasted of chicken base and salt. The steak was tender, but the gravy was so off-putting that it was inedible. My mom got biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were so hard she couldn’t even cut them with a knife. My sister got a burger with sweet potato fries. The fries were limp and mushy. Service was fair, and the restaurant is in need of new carpets and a deep clean. Would not recommend.

Our food tasted like the grill hadn’t been cleaned in days. Everything tasted like old bacon & burger grease. There were bits of old bacon and burger meat in the hash browns.

How can you justify 2 pancakes (not even brown; they were white), covered with black bits of charred stuff from the grill- $9.00? Mashed potatoes cold and toast done on one side only. The gravy for the chicken fried steak was under the steak instead of on top. The floors were dirty. When we were asked how everything was, we told the waitress, and she argued and failed to offer any discount. She never came back to our table to ask how our food was or offer drink refills.

Surprisingly good. I know it shouldn’t have to be a surprise. Lol. Traveling. We had dinner, chicken fried steak & open face roast beef. Cooked well with good flavor. Great for a roadside diner!

Lipstick on my watercup, and my grilled cheese sandwich was cold and not melted. Tomato soup was meh, and the canned tomatoes were not cooked down.
