After being closed for 3 years due to a fire, we are finally up and operating again. However, like many other businesses, we are HIGHLY understaffed! My small team of employees are working overtime every week so please be patient with us. If for some reason we didn’t meet your expectations, please ask to speak to me or my sister in law, Susie and we will make it right vs going online and bashing our reputation that we have worked so hard and so many years for. It is very discouraging and frustrating to find out about a bad experience online when we were not given the opportunity to fix the problem. We truly want every customer to have a great experience and to leave our restaurant happy so please give us that chance! Thank you.

Great food!!! Great atmosphere and excellent service!!! Meagan is the most friendly waitress I have ever encountered!! The manager saw me down the road and invited a coworker and I to come by and give them a try. I have to honestly say this place is the epitome of perfection on a plate with a lovely small town feel yo top it all off! All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. We saw one of the cooks coming out of the back and even he was in a great mood and talked with us like we were all old friends. Ill definitely be back very soon!

They had lumpia and smoked brisket on special. We got both and we’re very pleased! They’re sweet chili sauce was so delicious. My kids devoured the catfish, Mac n cheese and collard greens. Make sure you get the sweet potato casserole side, if they have it. It is the perfect dessert! The coleslaw is sweet and chopped thin, just like I love it! Also loved that they brought hush puppies out right away after we sat down. We will be back.

If you want true North Carolina BBQ you have to stop at Thig’s. They have been doing bbq right for over 30 years. They have amazing burgers fries and sides on top of their delicious bbq. Try an appetizer and try to save room for dessert. The service was amazing and they try to make sure everything about your visit is perfect.

Finally went to Thigs for the first time around 2 on a weekend. Considering the usually high traffic I see here I wanted to take a little time to enjoy what Thigs has to offer. Parking lot is clean, the inside foyer reveals a clean, sterile restaurant area. There is a limited seating area, 3 half circle booths and some tables w/chairs. We chose a booth and that was a huge mistake. There are no cushions, which is fine – anyone can sit at picnic table can handle sitting on a hardwood surface. The killer is the back of the booth is straight backed wood and forces you to hunch forward. The half circle booth has very little foot room which is great if you’re feeling amorous, terrible if you’re with a work buddy.

Great food, super clean restaurant, friendly staff. Got my lunch order quickly. My only issue is that I have a shellfish allergy (I won’t die, but my digestive tract will make me wish I had). The fries are cooked in the same oil as the shrimp, which is enough to do me in. Just something to be aware of if you have similar problems, and not totally unexpected when dining near the coast. My server was quick to point out other sides that I could have that would be safe.

First time I’ve been at Thig’s was on a date with my wife about 7 years ago before the original structure burnt down. Second time was today and we enjoyed our food! I had the catfish and my wife had the brisket. The hushpuppies that were given to us as a complimentary starter were very tasty and sweet!

I’m from out of town and went here after having been to a couple other local BBQ joints, and also a big chain. This Things place was a huge let down. I had only ever heard good things about it so I was excited to try. It’s got great reviews as of the time of this post. But the food was DRY, so dry. BBQ rib plate and BBQ pork plate. Pork was so dry it was inedible. It had the consistency of flavorless tuna from a can. Just had to swallow big mouthfuls of it with water to get it down. Ribs were so dry on the bone it was boarderline jerky. The collard greens were horrid. The worst I’ve ever had possibly. Totally flavorless and undercooked. Macaroni was almost certainly leftover or microwaved, it was all dry and in big chunks. The cucumber salad just tasted like pure uncooked onion. The only edible thing I got was a side of Cole slaw. The people working the front are so nice so I feel bad leaving this review, but I can’t in good conscience recommend ANYONE eat here. I feel like I just flushed $30 down the drain. It may even be the worst take out meal I’ve received from anywhere as far as portion and food quality goes. I’m shocked. I had such high expectations. My sister is from Jacksonville and was the one who recommended I eat here, she even drove us. She didn’t eat more than 1 bite of her BBQ ribs plate.

Was very happy to see this place re-open and was a weekly patron until recently. The last several weeks the quality of food has decreased and our orders have been wrong several times. To top our off, we recently called to complain about our chicken tasting like fish and were informed they use the same oil to fry chicken, shrimp, fish everything. And that restaurants don’t change their oil daily. That may be true, but NO ONE uses the same oil to fry fish and other foods items.

Well worth the trip! Haven’t had Carolina BBQ in years (hazard of living up north). Came down for work and noticed Thig’s as I was leaving the airport. Came back to try their food. Pulled pork, baked beans, cole slaw, hush puppies and sweet tea. Oh, all so good. For dessert, waitress’ voice raised when she said the Banana pudding. I now know why. Well worth the trip. And don’t forget to try the fried green tomatoes

Now I understand this restaurant’s history. That being said. Inside is a little lackluster. There were a lot of flies landing on my food, and hair in the hush puppies. I came here with my husband for an open interview, and the service was the best thing about being here. I actually threw up everything I ate in the car on the way home, and then contracted food poisoning… Which is a bummer because when I moved here in 2019, this was one of the places that my husband wanted to take me. I might give it a shot again, but I’m iffy right now.
