First time stopping at this location and it is located right outside of the food court. There are a decent amount of tables inside and a few outside for dining. After selecting your udon, you can choose a variety of tempura. Be careful though because things can add up fast. Two large udons, a platter of tempura and a few green teas ended up being around 60$ (including tip). Way more pricey than I remember but quality is still good. Overall was a lot of food and I would have been fine with the regular size udon.

Let’s talk about Marugame, the noodle restaurant my daughter frequently visited when we were in Shanghai. She and I recently visited the branch in The Shops at Santa Anita. She usually ordered the big bowl when she had enough money, otherwise she would opt for the small one.

Came here mid-day to try their Large Tonkotsu Udon and it was delicious! The noodles tasted fresh which they make in-house while you watch through the window. The Tempura station is right after the udon and while tempting decided to skip. Service was enthusiastic and I was in n out in about 15 minutes. Parking is challenging at the mall during peak times.

Love this noodle chain. I like this location better than the one in Glendale. Located between the food court entrance and Cheesecake Factory. The noodles are delicious. My fav is the Nikutama. Service is good. It’s an efficient cafeteria style ordering system. Decent amount of seating inside. Plenty of parking in the mall lot.

It’s finally open! Hand made noodles have that perfect chew that I’ve been looking for ever since I first had it in Hawaii. The broth is clean and flavorful. Tempura batter is light and crunchy. The beef was tender. The soft boiled egg was cooked perfectly.

I was very satisfied with my experience at this location! The staff were super quick and friendly. I went on a Saturday morning right when they opened and I was able to get a table but if I were any later I might have had to wait a bit!

This udon shop is on the outside of the mall, right before the entrance into the food court. It’s around the corner from The Cheesecake Factory.

So glad a marugame opened at Santa Anita mall and so convenient that it’s its own restaurant outside of the food court. I’m here at least once a week even during the summer. The food is always serve hot and fresh and tasty. The restaurant is always clean as there are employees walking around cleaning tables and having them ready for the next guest. *Customers* should be mindful to order before sitting or to not save seats when another family member is ordering. There is a sign at the entrance! Everyone is always so nice here. Water cups and utensils I need if I have to take my order to go are conveniently found by the customer area. My only recommendation is that they change their music.

We were there around 4 pm with no line, so it was fast getting out udon. (But it’s always a line during the meal time.)
