Honestly the signage is not very good for this place so I’ve passed it many times and didn’t know it existed. Really glad we stopped in because I had the best fried mushrooms I’ve ever tasted. The Chicken Fried Steak was also good as well as the fried pickles. The service was fast and consistent during our entire visit. Looking forward to going back again.

First time going to Matt’s Place and I was very satisfied with the whole experience. The waitress was very friendly and made sure we were happy and had refills. The burgers were really good with great portions. The fries were great as well. Cheap prices for good food.

Food was amazing. Staff was friendly. Our server was young and sweet but put a lot of focus on small talk and didn’t necessarily “listen” to what was said back to her. Our order wasn’t put in quite right as we got Chicken fried Chicken instead of CFS, and I got Fried shrimp instead of Grilled. We ate it anyway and it was delicious, just not quite what we asked for. We will be back.

I had a great breakfast at Matt‘s place on Sunday morning. The wait staff is quick and friendly and attentive including management. I had full breakfast menu item ,2 eggs, hash browns ,bacon , and French toast and everything was perfect! I highly recommend it if you’re ever at grand lake and want a good meal! They got chocolate milk too if you’d like that!
