If you’ve not experienced Salvadoran cuisine and are open to new, different recipes than you might expect then La Costa Azul is for you. If you are expecting Mexican recipes or franchise food this at the minimum will alert you that there are other cuisines in this world beyond your own travels. Be prepared for uniqueness.

I’ve been there with the family a couple of times, and I’ve tried several different things from their menu. Everything has been delicious, and the place has a very relaxing atmosphere. Great place overall!!

Hard to find, but worth it! Pupusas were the best we have had outside of Honduras/El Salvador, and big US cities. Yuca con Chicharrón was super yummy too. Run, don’t walk to try it out.

This restaurant is located where the old Amalfi Italian used to be (86th and Ditch) we ordered guacamole, which my 7 year old devoured! I had the carne asada steak that came with rice, beans, salad and homemade tortillas! All for a great price. My husband had the Salvadoran steak which was cooked in a savory tomato sauce with peppers and onions as well as rice, beans, salad and those amazing tortillas. We also had cheese pupusas (similar to a quesadilla but so much better!) I highly recommend this place! They have a lot of Mexican dishes like burritos, tacos and quesadillas. The menus also shows that they offer breakfast. We can’t wait to go back soon!

Food was delicious. No filling you up on rice or chips. Meals with lots of veggies and homemade corn tortillas.

Yuk! The food was cold and tasteless. I ordered carne asada – how do you mess up steak? The only thing that was warm was the hand made tortilla- but needed salt. There was only 1 waiter on a Saturday night. Bonus – it’s 2 am and I’m sitting on the throne! Don’t waste your time money or stomach going here. The pictures of my food are nothing like the reviews so maybe there’s a new chef. Wish I could add the pictures.
