It’s been a very long time since I had the opportunity back to Val’s. Nothing has change. Good burgers with good price. I ordered the double cheese burger and a fish burger with regular size fries. Place was packed so I put in the order via kiosks and waited for a text when food is ready. Burger thumbs up, fish sandwich thumbs up. Fries were good, hot and crispy but was overly salty. I’d probably get no salt next visit. Overall good food for good price.

Authentic retro fast food burger joint. Burgers are small, so order more than one. Strawberry shake was a good size and went great with the burger. I didn’t have fries, so can’t offer an opinion on those. Orders can be placed online, at the computer kiosk, or at the register. Staff is friendly and efficient. Prices are low Interior was clean, but lacked any character or vintage elements. There is no inside dining. Exterior could use a few picnic tables, plants, or something to make it more attractive. I’d order lunch there again but won’t plan on eating on-site.

Visiting from out of state I heard this place is a cornerstone of St. Cloud and now I understand why. The burger and fried were delicious. I can tell that all the food was put together by someone who cares about what they serve(which is rare these days) One of their shakes perfectly roubded out the meal. This place has an amazing small town nostalgic feel that is almost as satisfying as eating their burgers. I will make it a point to come back when I come back to MN.

Affordable dive for burgers, fries and milk shakes. No seating. If you have a smartphone, I’d order online otherwise they have 2 self service ordering kiosks inside. A cup of water was the same price as a soda. I’d suggest a double burger at a minimum as the bun to burger ratio is a little high on a single. Fries were kinda dumped in the bag. This place is small but they crank the orders out. Most people ate in their cars in the parking lot.

If you’re looking for a decent basic burger for not too much money then this is the right place. Certainly not fancy burgers, not big burgers and the fixings they put on it is less than impressive, but it beats McDonald’s and the prices seem fair. That’s pretty good in my opinion. I just got a triple burger and a cappuccino milkshake. The burger was fine. It wouldnt be fair to compare with a big fancy smokehouse burger you can get at a good BBQ restaurant or even a Wendy’s Baconator. But for a local mom and pops business serving cheap burgers its great! I give it a solid 4 stars and i think that’s reasonable. I went there at peak lunch hour on a Monday and it was packed. Very crowded little building which sucked, but they made the food fairly fast. We waited about 10-15 mins. There is parking but not alot of space when it’s lunchtime rush hour. Other than that i was satisfied.

Great burgers! They could be a little thicker. But, it’s got great flavor and the bun is nice and soft. The toppings (mustard, ketchup and onion) were all great additions. The fries are out of this world good! I Highly recommend them! Great seasoning and very crunchy! I really like the do-it-yourself ordering menu. It’s a very small area inside the building (no seats for dining) which is totally fine, this place is all about the food.

I heard from many people for a few years Val’s is the place for great burgers and fries. Nothing special when it comes to the building and no dining. That’s fine, cause the take out only food is well worth the stop. We finally experienced Val’s for our first time driving north to Wadena. French fires were my favorite. The burgers were good. It’s a unique tasty experience. I expect we will go back again when we are in St. Cloud.

Amazing food and milkshakes for a relatively low cost! Very small retro take out only burger joint. There is no seating, so prepare to eat in the car or take it home. Definitely the best tasting American fare in the area though.

Although the place is named Val’s Hamburgers, I really like their many flavors of milkshakes. The burgers are decent and deep fried foods falling in the “greasy but good” category. They have a very efficient kiosk and online ordering system. There is no indoor/outdoor seating, only takeout.
