First night, friends came in and were able to get a reservation same day about an hour out. Choices were pasta, burgers and French onion soup and pineapple upside down for dessert. Soup was good. Pasta not much flavor. Burgers just ok for saying they are wagyu. Overcooked so a bit on the tough side. Pineapple cake was tasty but on the very very small side for what your paying but yes these are hotel prices. Nice place for the convenience if you don’t want to leave the hotel or a short notice dinner

It’s good but basic. I just noticed a bunch of people get burgers in a boujee spot and red flags triggered.

Had the Black Tiger Shrimp & Maine Lobster Linguini and it was delicious. Sat across Hale Koa’s famous Banyan Tree and got to view the beautiful lights around it as the evening processed.

Biba’s is an option for not having to leave the premises of The Hale Koa. During the week it’s safe to not make a reservation but the weekend can lead to a longer wait time without one.

If you stay at the Hale Koa or are near it go to Bibas for dinner! The service is impeccable and the food will have you unable to stop yourself as will the drinks!

The waiter was exceptional! The atmosphere is cozy. The food… meh!! It tastes very amateur. The food lacks quality, flavor and technique. We’ve eaten here twice out of convenience. For the price of menu items, I expected better. If you are a foodie with a sophisticated palette, go elsewhere.

Table service can be very slow. Mother’s Day evening we decided to walk out as service was very very slow. We did return for lunch a few days later and service was much better. They do offer take out. The food is really good. The chef salad at lunch was served in a chilled bowl with house dressing which was delicious. We also had the pastrami brisket sub which was delicious also!

Won’t go back. We went for happy hour. The food options seemed good. It’s pricey for what you get especially for happy hour. Chicken tenders $11 for 3 tenders that were just the basic food distributor type. Garlic parm fries $10 but large enough to split and good. That was the only good part. My husband got the pork sliders also $11 and only got 2 sad little Hawaiian rolls(the ones we all use) and maybe a tablespoon of pork on each one and a squirt of bbq on each. For $11 bucks and you only got 2 little tiny sliders. Why not 3. The chicken tenders were same price and got 3. The waiter was unfriendly and didn’t greet us just kinda hovered over us waiting for us to order without saying anything. It was strange. I’m not hard to please but this was a joke of happy hour. After tip w a one beer was 45 bucks. No thanks. I’ve been happy w the other options on hale koa. But Bibas needs a revamp. I’m not risking paying their dinner prices for mediocre service and food. Everything else has exceeded expectations but bibas is exactly what I’d expect from on a military affiliate restaurant claiming to be higher end but barely above average.

This was the first restaurant we ate at on our visit to Hawaii. We enjoyed everything well enough, however, I have to say it was overpriced for what we got. I got a shrimp bowl and the quality of the shrimp was amazing with a sweet chili sauce that really added itself well to the bowl. My wife got the Lokomoko and she enjoyed it as well. We also got the crab cakes as an appetizer and they were very good, albeit a little small. Lastly, we got the mud pie for dessert and it was pulled straight from the freezer so it was hard as a rock, I wouldn’t suggest getting dessert here if this is how they present them. Overall, we were satisfied with our dining experience here and I’m sure you will be too.

They only serve service members, but will sell takeout without verifying ID. No idea why this place comes up when you search “food near me” in Oahu when they most definitely only serve a very specific population (those with a military ID) obviously unexpected on my end when I got take out the prior night to then be denied service tonight. Would be fine IF that that was listed anywhere. Super irritating when I’ve already left Waikiki though to find I can’t eat here though.
