I tried this place tonight and it was a good change of pace from the usual Chestertown fare. It was crowded and they seem to do a brisk Carryout business as well. There was almost no parking left. As I waited for my order I heard many happy customers comment on the food. The service is very helpful and the guy behind the counter helped me choose an entree since I was not familiar with some of the choices. Thanks! I’ll be back.

We’ve been there twice and enjoyed it both times! The palak paneer was pretty good, but the butter paneer is what really blew me away. Everything we’ve had from there has been good! We’ve only ever had the takeout option so, and usually we call and order on our way there and by the time we arrive everything is ready. Everyone that’s taken our order over the phone has been really nice.

The food was tasty, but the dishes were very small considering the price. The meat was amazing and so very tender. Inside the restaurant the atmosphere is severely lacking but they are still very new and I figure this can take a little time. The wait was a lot longer than I anticipated but the food was fresh and I’d rather wait than be given recycled left overs. It was a bit more tame flavor wise than what I’m used to at most India food restaurants but I also chalk that up to being in a small town atmosphere. All and all I will definitely return and look forward to seeing them grow into themselves

Feels like they changed their chef. Used to be great. I had an order of chicken Tikka masala, bindi masala, samosa, salmon tikka, chicken fried rice, chili chicken, dal makhni and aloo Gobi masala. All the dish where below average quality except Bindhi masala.

Delicious Food and Great Staff – What a delight to learn that Aroma has opened in Chestertown. It is no easy task to pull together a great menu and deliver on all levels but the team at Aroma did just that. Ordered carry out for four for lunch and we all loved the soups, appetizers, entrees and desserts. Can’t wait to try other dishes. Be aware that the food Aroma prepares is fresh to order and now that they are getting a reputation try to plan your carry out order in advance. This is not the kind of place where your food is flash cooked in a wok. It is a process that can take time so please allow for that and know it will be worth the wait. Bravo to the guys who are working really hard to build this business. Highly recommend. P.S., I ordered several hours in advance and they had my order packaged and ready at the time I requested.

My friends and I love Indian food. When we decided to meet for lunch midway between our homes, we were excited to find Indian food on offer from Aroma in Chestertown, MD. Walking in, we were underwhelmed by the decor, but the welcome was warm and the menu was promising. When the food arrived, WOW! For starters, the samosas were generously filled delicate pastry, nicely spiced and fried perfectly. Our channa masala and aloo gobi masala entrees were seasoned and cooked expertly. My friends and I have had Indian food all over the world, and we’ve never eaten better. Seriously. Never. As we were departing, Krishna, our server, thanked us for our patronage so graciously that we felt truly appreciated.

Place was great when they first opened. Just had takeout and very likely will not be back. Every recipe I’ve had recently has changed from when they first opened. And they never have mango chutney. Quality has gone down hill.
