I was expecting a thin patty like you might find at Whataburger, but was pleasantly surprised to get a nice, thick, hand formed beef patty. The size is just right. I didn’t get much flavor from this burger though, and mostly tasted the mustard. A little seasoning on the burger would be a big plus. I did enjoy the onion rings.

Stepped into a time machine and ended up at the Rocket Drive Inn. This place a real classic, the staff is very nice and everything is made to order, we ate the jumbo cheese burger, tots, and grilled cheese. This place is a must try if you happen to be in the area.

Passing through the town of Jenkins, LA do not drive through without stopping at Rocket Drive In, don’t let looks deceive you… We were on our way back to Texas and stopped at the local Walmart to ride out a storm and found ourselves getting hungry. Landed upon Rocket Drive In and based on the reviews decided to give it a try. So glad we did; by far some of the best burgers, corn dogs, tots, fries and onion rings we’ve had in a long time. The burgers were thick and juicy and come with mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle. Oh man it hit the spot and had us eating every single bite. Definitely on our list of stops if we come through again! There’s a reason it’s been around forever, so, so good!!

Been coming here since I was a little boy. My mom been there when she was little. Sadly at least for now there’s no good real shakes but the crab burger was good. Even as hot as it is outside. The shaded area really helped

I have been getting the chocolate chip shakes over there since I can remember every day when I was a kid we would go after school and still the shakes are amazing just like the very first one I recommend this one and everyone Tasso sandwiches are off the chain and tender! Banana split comes in a lidded styrofoam drink cup, with ingredients piled up on top of one another, and the spoon stuck through the straw hole. Not what one expects when ordering a “banana split” so be forewarned. I’m not even sure how I will reach the banana at the bottom (if there is any, considering I can’t see it right now) because the little spoon won’t even reach the bottom of the cup. In other pics, see 5 fried Mushrooms (2 were stuck together) 4 lg fried shrimp (a little under cooked), 3 fried oysters, a bunch of curly fry bits covered by a few big ones stuck together, a couple of small fried shrimp (which seemed like an accidental inclusion rather than part of the actual order), a tiny salad of lettuce and tomato, with 1000 island salad dressing packet (which I won’t use, I like a different kind of dressing but no one asked), and a bread roll. Cheeseburger and lg curly fries ordered as well. Overall, spent over $30.

I stopped by and while most of our order was correct, one of the burgers was wrong. My friend politely asked for the burger to be remade. The employee at the window condescendingly asked if all the burgers had been checked so they didn’t go out of their way to remake something. I felt that was a little ironic considering they wouldn’t be remaking anything because it wasn’t made correctly to begin with. Aside from that unpleasant interaction, my friend was met with eye rolling after explaining all the burgers had been checked. Mistakes are human but not owning the mistake and being annoyed with the customer for YOUR mistake is unacceptable. Aside from the horrible attitude after the mistake was pointed out, the burgers were mostly enjoyable. The bun was a little over toasted, the meat a little dry, and the sides of okra and french fries could have used salt, but I guess you get what you pay for.

Est. in 1965, and still some of the best, hot and fresh food you’ll have. The burgers and homemade onion rings are incredible and made to order. Everything is pippin hot when you get it. Also, try their peanut butter butterscotch shake, you’ll be happy you did.

Rocket Drive In has always been amazing. I really enojoyed every food that I had with this restaurant. I had tried their shakes, banana splits, fries and more. But what’s really my fave is their burger. It is soooo tasty, so meaty and cheesy. ABSOLUTELY delicious. I would definitely go back here
